Power Armor Bay

Anastasia was locked in place, her heart beating with every number of the countdown. She hesitated for just a second as ichi was announced. When the command to clear was given, she activated her teleoprt, blinking out of the bay.

L'Kor Hangar

Anastasia teleported in, crouching. She brought her Saber Rifle to firing position, safety off, as she assessed her surroundings with her comrades blinking into existence around her.

L'Kor Battleship Hangar

Orion breathed in and warped to the destination, he took his rifle and started to aim at the more farther away enemies, he didn't want to risk one of his bullets hitting one of his comrades. He then started shooting.

PA Bay

Mitsuko ran her final calculations for the jump as her teleporter pack charged, nodding as the others all sounded off one by one. Well, almost all of them. She sighed and attached a large red arrow above Matsuvo's helmet on the team's HUDs, with 'Shinomori-Hei' written above it. Everyone else would be able to see the large icon bouncing above his head as he moved.

Once the MEGAMI's countdown ended, she exited the Bay, thrusters moving her to a safe distance from the ship along with the others, before the group teleported en masse to the space right outside of the enemy hangar. Within seconds they were all inside, shots already beginning to fly.

L'Kor Battleship Hangar

"Kokoro-Hei, Nashira-Hei, target the enemy fighters and shuttles to prevent possible usage against the Kaiyo. Everyone else, clear the hangar of any resistance and start looking for exists." Murakami wasn't as quick to fire as the rest, raising her shields and one forearm barrier, scanning the room as efficiently as possible to mark enemy craft and soldiers, as well as entrances to the room reinforcements might arrive through. And where they'd be headed next on their way deeper inside the enemy battleship.

L'Kor Battleship Hangar

Carter sprang into action upon the countdown reaching its end. He leapt out of the PA bay and activated his stored teleport, popping back into existence alongside the rest of the squad and immediately raising his LASR, scanning the room around him and deploying NSBs to cover his blind spots.

"Objective clear." Meissa responded. "Yoshida, I'm gonna search for some munitions once we get these guys out of the way. Help me find whatever explodes. Six blocks won't be enough to blow this place to hell if we want more explosives later."
Meissa deployed her NSBs. She began to cut out fuel tanks, unload weaponry, Aether Beam any hostile that got within her line of sight, call her wing drones to shoot whatever tried to run, and in general making the hangar bay an absolute mess, something which she is very good at.

L'Kor Battleship Hangar

The hangar had in it thirty power armor, twelve of which were in two equal lines front and center, while the rest were sporadically placed amongst the four shuttles and six bombers that were in the hangar. The shuttles were in the back of the hangar, between two equidistant exits, while there were two bombers on opposing walls and two behind the enemy lines of power armor, in front of the shuttles. The bombers looked ready to exit the hangar, though the pilots seemed to give pause and become distracted by the incoming away team.

Orion's shots hit two in the front line, hurting their armor, but not doing enough to lower shields significantly. Those two, in term, raised both of their aether rifles up to point at Orion.

Mat's SMG hit several bombers before finding their destination: the power armored L'Kor. The shields of one were downed, but only marginally. The green and gold winged power armor were strong. Strong enough to resist a few minor hits.

The NSB's deployed by some of the away team began to swarm and gain intelligence for the team, firing at 150 shots a minute at the same time. They started the hard work of depleting shields and knocking away the enemy.

Before the Kaiyō got out of the area of possible incoming attack, Shan's hits against the carrier impacted, along with those from the others in the squadron. Targeting the point where the tails met the rest of the ship was paying off as shields were down to fractions of their original thresholds. The carrier was alleviating itself of bombers like blood that was oozing out of the wounds created by the squadron.

L'Kor Battleship Hangar

Anastasia took the layout of the room in with one sweep, moving to the side and taking cover behind the nearest rack or support in the bay. "Targets acquired."

Anastasia peeked out from behind her cover, opening burst scalar fire on the active troops with her left shoulder-mounted SMG.

"I need our techies to help me out here!" Meissa shouted over comms. "Bombers means there must be spare bombs lying around! Help me find them and dismantle them!"
She swung her Aether Beam at the enemy power armors. Her left arm's pulse cannon came to life, spraying Aether rounds across the battlefield. She commanded her Wing Pack drones to surround Yoshida, assisting her suppressive fire.

"Hai Mitsuko!" She yelled out over the comms as her gattling rifle finished revving up, already spitting a stream of aether across the hanger which Yoshida promptly swung towards the nearest bomber as she propelled herself along the ground like an ice skater. The unfortunate pilot of the bomber would see the pink circle of the rotating, glowing barrels, ejecting the similarly colored aether straight towards the pilot. "Meissa I'm busy shooting the pilots!" She even accelerated towards said pilots, intent on landing on each one and point blanking them with the gattling rifle if she didn't manage to penetrate the sealed cockpits before she could reach them. With her tail whipping around as she skated, and a gun nearly as long as she was tall, it was almost comical, untill one remembered that that gun could probably tear them in half.

With his course of action set, Carter lept to the side, dropping low to the ground and using his CFS to propel him in an extended slide into cover. As soon as he arrived, he activated his photonics array to project a barrier in front of his cover, and took aim with his LASR. He targeted one of the two power armors that Orion had hit, the barrel of his LASR flashing with a bright blue retort as he delivered a precise double-tap to the enemy's head, before following it up with a Gauss cannon round to it's chest in the hopes of finishing off the combatant before it could reply in kind.

A deluge of targeting information flooded through Carter's Mindy. He was thankful for his AIES as it efficiently processed the data, filling in the technician's HUD with relevant data; the positions of allies and enemies, targeting priorities, and objectives. Not so intrusive as to distract from the individual tasks at hand, but everything he needed at his proverbial fingertips. He could get used to this...

Mat took cover behind a crate as his NSBs peppered away the shields of the enemy. In the heat of combat the normally clumsy young man was much more coordinated due to the adrenaline rushing through his veins.

He traded fire with the L'kor, targeting the suits that looked like they had the weakest shields first, then moving on to the stronger enemy armors. As he traded fire he became aware of one of the birdlike enemies approaching him from the side.

He whipped out his modified Aether Saber Bayonet, taking a deep breath. The meter long Aether blade hummed in the air as he brought it to bear. The L'kor power armor seemed hesitant for a moment before charging him and he cut it down smoothly. Those who saw it would notice that it seemed uncharacteristic for the normally clumsy minkan.

"Hm. So they're taking notice." As she brought her primary focus around towards the main body of the first target, The Kaiyo's weapons made constant attempts to penetrate the hull and what little remained of the shields, likely to dal catastrophic internal damage upon success. Not wanting to be a bad guest she treated the launching bombers with bursts of point defense fire, controlled and just heavy enough to keep them from simply rushing the Kaiyo. Best to keep them at a distance until she can split her mind enough to hit them accurately, due to range, target size, and, more notably, slightly more pressing concerns.

Mitsuko softly whined inside of her helmet, all to herself. This was far more resistance than she was expecting. They were outnumbered again, but the enemy had at least been distracted. She was still confident that the Star Army was better armed and equipped, but that was not always enough of an advantage. Thankfully the other four soldiers would be arriving within moments as backup, and their staggered deployment might actually help surprise the enemy.

For now, she focused on directing traffic. Shields up and forearm barrier raised, she advanced forward while most of the team scattered to the sides. Some moving into cover, others focused on delaying, distracting or destroying the enemy vehicles. The gauss cannon on her shoulder fired automatically as she assisted with marking targets and keeping track of the chaotic situation. "Nashira-Hei, Kokoro-Hei has the right idea...we do not need to completely destroy the fighters and shuttles. Simply damage them enough to prevent their launch."

Soon Murakami had practically walked right into the man group of L'Kor soldiers. Similarly to her first deployment, she wasn't dodging or moving quickly...merely making sure the enemies were shooting elsewhere more often than they were shooting where she was, and making sure to focus on protecting herself rather than firing everything she had available. Even her cannon cut off as she sped up a bit, rushing into melee range. Thankfully the others couldn't hear her unflattering yelps as she began breaking up the enemy formation with her own body. They were too close to fire at her now, especially if they didn't want to hit their friends...hopefully letting the rest of the team fire at them more freely, while they tuned some attention to her.

If it had worked on the Rixxikor, maybe it would work here. She hoped. The Neko switched on the Mindy's active camouflage, not sure how much help it would be, dropping her barrier and power from shields to project an image of herself a few feet away. Hopefully this confused the L'Kor, as she began shoving and kicking the other power armors around as best she could to disrupt them, making sure to send information back to her team that clearly marked her position.

"Still need something else that explodes, I only have six charges." Meissa replied.
Now she focused more on killing random crew members than trying to find something that exploded. She flew around with Yoshida, Aether Beam in the sword state, both the Wing Pack's shield, along with her normal shield, protecting her from enemy attacks.
She bounced around the hangar bay, going after the power armors headed or aiming for Yoshida. The hum of her Aether Blade generated a nice bass, she decided. Her smooth, practiced movements gave her the appearance of a dancer giving her greatest performance rather than...a person fighting vastly outnumbered in a hangar bay.

Realizing he was now being targeted, Orion rushed behind a crate to take cover from the incoming enemy fire, he didn't really like the feeling of being out in the open, he then poked out of the side, aimed at the closest of the attacking L'kor, and started to shoot, shot after shot after shot.

L'Kor Battleship Hangar

As the team started to spread out, Irit kept back towards the middle of the widening circle. None of her weapons were heavy enough to even scratch the small craft in the bay, so her contribution was adding weight of fire against the ground crews and power armor. Their Petty Officer had charged off, literally, into a crowd of L'Kor. Otherwise, the medic noted, she would have been in a perfect position to support their leader. Now, she wasn't sure enough in her aim to risk firing into the crowd and potentially hitting Mitsuko.

So she got closer, steadying her powered arms and pumping a burst of aether fire into the flanks of Mitsuko's opponents.

L'Kor Battleship Hangar

The technician Anastasia's SMG hit multiple enemies that turned to face her as she peeked out from cover. One of which was alerted to her presence and turned to a comrade, apparently communicating with them over comms before the two ran forward, shooting with their own machine guns at her.

Meissa's aether blade cut through multiple enemy power armors, wounding them but not damaging them completely while her pulse cannon splashed violent aether rounds about, hitting three enemy power armor and killing an unarmored pilot that was entering their bomber.

As Yoshida skated around as if on ice, she hit several opponents, downing their shields. Her real triumph was against the L'Kor pilots of the bomber that was killed by her gattling as they tried to get into the cockpit to launch.

Carter's succession of LASR to the head and gauss cannon to the chest decimated his opponent that had been weakened by Orion's shots.

Mat hadn't felled his opponent with the one swipe of his bayonet— it would take more than that to end the life, let alone fully down shields, of the enemy power armor. It swung in order to cleave off Mat's head, only to feint to the left and go for his side with a jab.

Mitsuko had disturbed the enemy ranks and now they stood strewn about. Irit hit two of them, avoiding Mitsuko completely. Some of those in the now messy array of once solid two rows of power armor broke away to shoot at Yoshida and Meissa, five in all. The rest realized there was an intruder among them and aimed at none other than one another, holding fire as they realized how friendly it was going to be if they did.

Entering and hovering in the space above the hangar were the three infantry Neko and medic that had been asked to be a second wave by Mistuko.

"What do you call a flock of L'Kor when they're against the likes of us?" Reina Madoka asked over away team's comms.

"I don't know," Leeta Aoi replied. "What?"

"Bird shot!" Madoka said as she opened fire on the L'Kor surrounding Mitsuko's position with a volley of aether. She marked on everyone's HUD the L'Kor she had shot and the likelihood their shields had been downed. Two of them were hit and showed quartered shields on all HUD if they were looked at.

Leeta followed suit and pulsed out gauss cannons onto one target, hitting them enough for their shields to be halved before they turned to face her and shot out their own aether rifle, hitting her multiple times and creating a slight color shift in her Mindy's popup on her own HUD from bright green to yellow.

Another infantry, Muyomi Peio, had her back and took aim at the L'Kor power armor that was shooting at her, pulsing out with her Ke-M2-W2906 shoulder-fired missile pod a volley of ten missiles, blowing up the power armor in an explosion of shrapnel that Mitsuko would find herself having to avoid. It caused chaos within the ranks and several L'Kor took to flight and others simply stepped or thrusted back.

"Thanks, Muyomi-hei!" Leeta sighed out, "But missiles? When you knew we'd be in close quarters? Really?"

Muyomi Peio chuckled with a nervousness before re-aiming and readying to fire. The rest of the Neko that had just arrived did so, as well.

Shan had hit the carrier enough so that the tails were completely torn from the head of the carrier and small explosions could be seen erupting throughout it. The bombers were now avoiding the Kaiyō's point defense weapons that assaulted them. Instead, the battleship threw itself into defensive maneuvers and shot its dual plasma array at the Kaiyō.

"Ito!" Eden shouted and the Santo Hei pilot narrowly avoided the attack with a prowess and ability unknown to the likes of the L'Kor.

To all on the bridge and on the away team, Eden said, "I want this battle to be one sided. We will crush them quickly and decisively!" Her fist had balled and she was grimacing, as if impaled or hurt to the extreme. "Shan, continue the barrage against the still-standing ships! Let the Kaiyō away team take care of the battleship. I have all the faith in the universe that they will."

To her first officer, in a telepathic message guided by the touch they retained, she said, "That was too close."

Mat, still under the incredible influence of adrenaline, actually managed to catch the enemy's blade arm in his hand, left hand, and then attempted to gut the L'kor power armor with his bayonet. This clearly wasn't doing the job, and he'd have to get a proper melee weapon. He could use the arm blades on his power armor in the meantime if he had to engage up close and personal.

He stepped away from the enemy power armor and stowed his bayonet, firing his left wrist weapon into the injured foe for good measure, and then he took cover again and resumed firing his SMG in controlled bursts at the enemy.

In response to seeing his first target downed, Carter gave the other armor damaged by Orion's first volley an identical treatment, shifting his aim and delivering his shots with almost mechanical precision.

The three Infantry Neko's abrupt arrival opened up another opputunity, however. Carter immediately shifted his attention onto the L'kor who was marked for excecut- er, downed shields. He opened fire on the damaged armor, laying into it with two Gauss cannon rounds to the upper body, followed by a LASR headshot, just to be sure. He then moved onto the next marked L'kor, calmly remarking to the newly arrived Neko "Nice entrance, ladies. Keep marking the ones with downed shields; I'll be your cleanup crew."

Meissa noticed the armors beginning to obtain a lock on her. Alright, real showtime begins now.
She breathed in. Breathed out.
The battlefield's noise was drowned out, slowly, leaving only her peace of mind. Her heartbeat roared in her ears.
She launched backwards, aiming to stab and skewer an armor straight through the chest.
