L'Kor Battleship Hangar
The technician Anastasia's SMG hit multiple enemies that turned to face her as she peeked out from cover. One of which was alerted to her presence and turned to a comrade, apparently communicating with them over comms before the two ran forward, shooting with their own machine guns at her.
Meissa's aether blade cut through multiple enemy power armors, wounding them but not damaging them completely while her pulse cannon splashed violent aether rounds about, hitting three enemy power armor and killing an unarmored pilot that was entering their bomber.
As Yoshida skated around as if on ice, she hit several opponents, downing their shields. Her real triumph was against the L'Kor pilots of the bomber that was killed by her gattling as they tried to get into the cockpit to launch.
Carter's succession of LASR to the head and gauss cannon to the chest decimated his opponent that had been weakened by Orion's shots.
Mat hadn't felled his opponent with the one swipe of his bayonet— it would take more than that to end the life, let alone fully down shields, of the enemy power armor. It swung in order to cleave off Mat's head, only to feint to the left and go for his side with a jab.
Mitsuko had disturbed the enemy ranks and now they stood strewn about. Irit hit two of them, avoiding Mitsuko completely. Some of those in the now messy array of once solid two rows of power armor broke away to shoot at Yoshida and Meissa, five in all. The rest realized there was an intruder among them and aimed at none other than one another, holding fire as they realized how friendly it was going to be if they did.
Entering and hovering in the space above the hangar were the three infantry Neko and medic that had been asked to be a second wave by Mistuko.
"What do you call a flock of L'Kor when they're against the likes of us?" Reina Madoka asked over away team's comms.
"I don't know," Leeta Aoi replied. "What?"
"Bird shot!" Madoka said as she opened fire on the L'Kor surrounding Mitsuko's position with a volley of aether. She marked on everyone's HUD the L'Kor she had shot and the likelihood their shields had been downed. Two of them were hit and showed quartered shields on all HUD if they were looked at.
Leeta followed suit and pulsed out gauss cannons onto one target, hitting them enough for their shields to be halved before they turned to face her and shot out their own aether rifle, hitting her multiple times and creating a slight color shift in her Mindy's popup on her own HUD from bright green to yellow.
Another infantry, Muyomi Peio, had her back and took aim at the L'Kor power armor that was shooting at her, pulsing out with her Ke-M2-W2906 shoulder-fired missile pod a volley of ten missiles, blowing up the power armor in an explosion of shrapnel that Mitsuko would find herself having to avoid. It caused chaos within the ranks and several L'Kor took to flight and others simply stepped or thrusted back.
"Thanks, Muyomi-hei!" Leeta sighed out, "But missiles? When you knew we'd be in close quarters? Really?"
Muyomi Peio chuckled with a nervousness before re-aiming and readying to fire. The rest of the Neko that had just arrived did so, as well.
YSS Kaiyō
Bridge
Shan had hit the carrier enough so that the tails were completely torn from the head of the carrier and small explosions could be seen erupting throughout it. The bombers were now avoiding the Kaiyō's point defense weapons that assaulted them. Instead, the battleship threw itself into defensive maneuvers and shot its dual plasma array at the Kaiyō.
"Ito!" Eden shouted and the Santo Hei pilot narrowly avoided the attack with a prowess and ability unknown to the likes of the L'Kor.
To all on the bridge and on the away team, Eden said, "I want this battle to be one sided. We will crush them quickly and decisively!" Her fist had balled and she was grimacing, as if impaled or hurt to the extreme. "Shan, continue the barrage against the still-standing ships! Let the Kaiyō away team take care of the battleship. I have all the faith in the universe that they will."
To her first officer, in a telepathic message guided by the touch they retained, she said, "That was too close."
