YSS Kaiyō
Power Armor Bay

Upon seeing the infantry from the IYS Kaiyō phase in front of them, Hanna willed herself to not raise her weapons in response. Instead, she kept her hands within sight and looked for the short figure of her counterpart. However, since most of the figures were indistinguishable in their armor, Hanna decided to target the tallest armor.

Once the timer was called, Hanna was flung to the wall in a controlled motion. Her target marked, she bounced off of the wall in a controlled back flip, landed on the ground, sighted her submachine gun, and fired a volley of aimed shots at the tallest Mindy.

Yoshida kept surprising herself with how angry she could feel towards another living creature. And this time, what surprised her most of all was how gosh darn good it felt to be absolutely enraged. She wanted nothing more than to pick put her counterpart and teach her a lesson, but unfortunately, hardly got the time to try and decide which one was her, so instead she picked one almost at random that seemed to have a tail as the shift in gravity kicked in.

She swung first, then burned a capacitor's charge to teleport and bash some misfortunate with a zesurium gattling gun. In this case, it might as well have been a mace as it combined the momentum from the target's descent by being in its path, Yoshida's thrusters punting her in the opposite direction for even more force, and the mighty swing of the mindy. She knew her limits though, and after that swing, went full reverse down the hall as she scrapped along side the newly dubbed floor. Yoshida's grin had never been wider.

Bridge

With all the moving around and confusion Saki had grabbed Kikyo as followed Eden around, staying very quiet the entire time. Now on the bridge, Misaki was sending calming thoughts to the now terrified and confused Kikyo. While her mother was able to keep her quiet, it was obvious as she was gripping at Saki's uniform and lightly trembling.

Misaki looked to Eden and answered her question telepathically, "We're alright here, just a little shaken up." In the same state of mind, Saki sent a similar message to Meissa,

"Get us home, Mei-dono."

"I'm working on it, mom." Meissa responded with telepathy as her Aether Saber's beam blazed through the air. "Sorry, I had to ask Kyoi to pull some gimmicks for me in order to gain an advantage in the fight."

"I really hope you're not hurt." Meissa added on the end.

Bridge

Just passing through the entrance to the Bridge as Kyoi began cycling the engines, Mochi was shocked to see she was doing so before they'd even confirmed the engines wouldn't burn out. Then again, this was hardly a leisurely scenario. "Shi-" Mochi began, grabbing the nearest seat preemptively. Barely a few seconds later their Plumeria lurched forwards, the displays around the Bridge flashing orange and red with warnings.

No time. Throwing himself forwards as soon as the initial push subsided, the Juni scrambled for his station, pausing those precious moments to secure himself in place. His fingers flew across the console, brow furrowed in concentration - getting to speed was one thing, stopping the ship from tearing itself apart and burning out subsystems was another. A single wingtip flexed anxiously as he did the best he could.

Going pass maximum speed meant that the ship hadn't been tested for these pressures and could rip apart at any moment, Mochi worked quickly, rapidly dropping the temperature shipwide so that the hull would contract and weaknesses would be less suceptable to rupture. "Boss, I need you to reinforce and close whatever you can and seal auxiliary rooms at your own discretion. Power down non-essential systems, we need to keep this puppy fuelled." the Elysian shot a message, then another "Anastasia, how's it looking in there?"

A loss of power or essential system collapse could mean rapid deceleration - at this speed it meant.. Well.. Kaiyo would make a very pretty firework.

Mission Ops/Communications

Again, that "thing", that man that seemed to defy all nature imposed itself upon the bridge, his words that seemed both warning and voiced discontent towards those of the IYS. If what he said was true then they were in a situation that demanded retaliatory action from the Captain and the Kaiyō. Switching off communications, cutting it off as abruptly as an executioner with an axe, the Minkan instead pushed his seat over and focused on the other console; the second part of his job. To watch over and maintain contact with the infantry as they fought to keep the ship from being boarded and overwhelmed. Their HUD's flashed, causing Riku to close his eyes somewhat, turning his head away as the intensity of whatever was going on from their side translated into real-time footage onto the consoles.

Though he had a calm exterior, Riku's mind was racing with all the questions left unanswered, the past few weeks having put a toll on the quiet Minkan. There was a sliver of doubt that threatened to force it's way to the surface, kept in check only by sheer discipline and a tight lipped demeanor. This ship was their home, their bastion of normalcy from the lunatic and heretical. It felt like a disgusting practical joke had been played upon them; like their being here, their isolation and being stranded in this "parallel universe" a sham created by some indignant clown. To think that if he had only walked a couple steps further, it would have been so simple to just let go. The Minkan was too focused on his task to see how white his knuckled were, his fists were balled, jaws clenched and brows furrowed.

There was a ferocity and fire in his eyes that few, nay, no one would ever see nor notice.

He was angry.

Ammongst the new developments, Abart'huse looked about in light shock as the boarders popped themselves into the PA-bay, immediately flanking the group from two sides. Glancing about nervously, he hel his LASR clutched in his right hand, slung over his shoulder, finger off the trigger as was standard according to gun safety guidelines. None of that seemed to matter now, as Meissa had set up the timer, counting down to their retaliation. "Geez, never heard of knocking? There's a door you know...."

Soon enough the Kaiyo blasted off into god-knows-where, sending all of the ships occupants flying back from the sheer acelleration. As the ceiling in there limited Abart's ability to properly jump, he opted for a more befitting backflip, using his tail's strong grip and momentum to fling himself backwards towards the wall, practically letting himself "fall down" into position, goming down on the wall with a very loud "THRUNKH" noise.

Now that he and his crewmates had all repositioned themselves in one spot, whilst the agressors were struggling to keep their stance, and failing to do so, they all had a clear shot of their enemies, with little to no chance of friendly fire. Now that the snake wasn't using a weapon that would risk slicing through the ship's walls, he could freely spray away at the flailing opposing Mindy's on the portside, letting his LASR, SLAG, and gauss light up their position with AP rounds, HE grenades and 50mm KE slugs. Letting the barrels roar with power, he couldn't help but hiss away inside his helmet, letting out all the pent-up frustration and tension of the past month in a feral growl most unbecoming of the usually goofy snek.

"GrrhhHHHHCYYAAACHH~!!!"

Ana was gonna be soooo mad at all the collateral damage..... but that was a different matter for a different time.

There was no way Eden could reply to Saki, the Kaiyō was going too fast for her to do anything but hold her chair's arm rests with all of the force she could muster. The material started to buckle under her strength and molded to the shape of her hand while she gripped it. She breathed in sharply as she realized what she had done and she looked back to Saki and Kikyō as quickly as possible, which was slow and looked methodical in nature as she did so.

Telepathically, she said, "Hold on."

Boss said, "Less than one minute until imminent annihilation. The engines can only be shut off manually."

To Mochi, she telepathed, "Juni, figure out a way to undo the damage that is being done."

To Anastasia, she sent a message, "The ship can't handle this much longer! Manual shut off in under one minute!"

The strain on the occupants of the ship was then lessened after she had simultaneously sent off the messages and she breathed out heavily and turned to Riku.

"What is the status of the IYS Kaiyō?"

A large part of her wanted to know if they had met their end yet or if they still lived. After all, your own worst enemy was yourself.

Power Armor Bay

For a nanosecond, really the smallest amount of time possible, the IYS Kaiyō's away team had no idea what was happening. Some of them flung their arms out and looked towards the floor of the power armor bay as they felt a sudden shift within the ship and some of them hopped into the air after they watched the YSS crew do so. They were not as prepared and a Neko in armor landed next to some of the YSS crew a moment later, face first into the wall while one more crashed into the wall after doing a flip of sorts and had their back against the wall the YSS crew had only just hopped easily off of.

Meissa's aether saber struck the other high tech power armors across the room, striking down their shields marginally before they almost all were able to get their footing, per se. Then, they began firing back. Meissa was targeted by two armored Neko.

William's sword attack slowed Wila's advance, but the samurai apprentice was in a power armor that was different from all the others. Her power armor resisted his kick, capable of controlling where it was effortlessly. She drew her aether beam out and plunged it towards William.

Hanna's submachine gun found the mark of the tall Neko, who flew forward towards her, aether saber raised and immediately slashed at Hanna when they were close enough for close quarters combat.

An armored Neko began targeting Amanozako as Amanozako jumped from the wall, compensating for the sudden movement of the ship. Just then, Yoshida was struck as she slid, but only after she managed to take the shields of several armored combatants down a few notches.

Boss prepped the Kaiyo team in the power armor bay by saying in their helmets, "Creating a diversion for you momentarily."

After a nanosecond of disorientation Mat grabbed the neko who landed next to the group and flew towards the enemy team using the disoriented neko as a shield. After reaching the enemy he slammed his 'shield' into the enemy and rotated himself so that he could push off the mass of bodies with his feet and end up back nearby the rest of the YSS infantry.

"Get 'em while they're down!" He shouted as he whipped Aether fire from his saber rifle across the mass of enemies.

Meissa took advantage of the other crew's disorientation, dodging the Aether by diving behind a falling box, and kicked it to the side as it served its purpose. She grabbed the Neko that slammed into the wall, throwing her into the middle of the YSS Infantry. "Get this one!" she shouted, activating the Saber mode.

In more...loose terms, that Neko had just entered the wrong neighborhood.

Hallway

Anastasia scooped herself off the floor of the main Kaiyo hallway, breathing for air as the feeling of sudden acceleration dampened. She picked up on the commands from Eden, wondering just how long she was out. "I-I can shut them off, I just need some time." She stood fully, pain in her back flaring up as she grimaced. She felt like she was going to need at least a minute and five seconds. Anastasia pulled through it, limping quickly towards the engineering bay.

"Eden, Iemochi, open all the vents, double up the coolant from there. We may run low, but its better than..."
The technician chose to not finish that sentence, instead looking at the control panel outside the door to engineering. 130 degrees and counting, AMES recommended. Not even double cooling gave enough time for that precaution. Anastasia ignored the safety message on the panel, forcing the doors open. A steady gust of hot air rushed into the hallway as she took the first steps into the engineering bay.

The effects of the heat had immediate impact, sweat rolling down the red-shirted Elysian's forehead. Red lights were flashing all around the bay, signaling the environment control systems were failing, dying in their attempts to keep the room cool. Anastasia moved down the catwalk from the entrance, to the maintenance control panel overlooking the central reactor. The pipes and metal surrounding the reactor were red hot from the extreme output of the power draw, and Anastasia knew the exact heat capacity of all of those metals.

It wasn't a good sign. "I-I'm shutting them down, be ready." Anastasia barely managed to say through the back pain and the rising heat of the bay. Her fingers slid across the control panel, lowering the reactor's energy draw and bringing the engines to a steady halt. Stopping them on a dime would risk completely ripping them apart, and that wasn't any better.

The entire craft started to shudder as the effects of the shutdown we're felt. Despite the engines shutting down, the Kaiyo was still moving very fast. Anastasia threw herself out of the engineering bay, sealing the door behind her. She sat there against the wall for a few moments, catching her breath, entirely drenched in sweat. Parts of her skin were burnt from heat and reactor exposure, getting a nice tan. "They're down, but we're still flying. I need my AMES..."

Arbles didn't take the intense forces as well as other people on the bridge. The right side of Eden's view was flooded with a flurry of pink as the small operator's body was thrown aftwards uncomfortably. The Kaiyo settled down just long enough for the little mountain to slowly begin to righten herself, only for a jolt in the opposite direction to force her body prowwards in the same chair. After several uncomfortable seconds, her body twitched a little and she groaned.

"Uuuhnnnnggghhhh...... Oww..... Shan-Hei r-reportinnnng..." Slowly re-rightening herself, the albatross had made a bit of a mess in the bridge-there was a random smattering of magenta feathers throughout.

Power Armor Bay

A ripple of static and color pulsed along one of the walls behind an armor rack. Something cloaked had burst into motion just a moment after the entire ship had shaken, and popped into being as a friendly ID signal on the YSS Kaiyo's armor team roster... Only, the damn thing was too slippery and quick to be a Mindy, surely?...

-"All safties have been unlocked. Thank you Shosa."- A radio message, group signal. Calm, inhumanly collected. Yamatai accent, but utterly synthetic and gratingly digital. -"I will counter the intruders now."-

Crawling, low, fast, insectoid-

It avoided the standard sweep of fire completely before choosing it's target, one of the rearmost enemy PAs with no one directly covering them. Then, like a gust of wind, it leaped upwards and onto them. Digging large grey claws into the furniture of their rifle, the silhouette sparked into a more concrete being all at once, like some kind of...

Some kind of pale, bone colored, red eyed Neko robot!? Like one of those anti-Mishhuvurthyar terror weapons from the war?

Not simply trying to wrest the weapon away, it also bit deep into the alternate-mindy's visor, attempting to shear it off; At the same time as activating a bright green blade within it's tail, and swinging that around behind the enemies' back...

Organic or not, it also belted out a deafeningly loud screech, somewhere in between a jaguar and a banshee.

A demon. From the cracks they had rendered between dimensions. It was the only explanation.

William growled as his foot connected with Wila's midsection, which didn't seem to have much effect. He moved to side step the attack and moved off to her side with a flare of his thrusters.

William didn't have time to look around at the chaos that filled the PA Bay. He had to focus on Wila. If his focused faltered for even the fraction of a second, she would cut him down. This was the toughest fight he had ever been in. But he refused to lose to Wila... The Nepleslian boy refused to lose to his Neko doppelganger.

He roared in defiance as he slashed both swords upwards towards her outstrechted arm, aiming for just above and below her elbow.

Misaki held Kikyo against her chest with one and and death gripped the captain's chair with the other in a vain attempt of keeping herself stable. Kikyo had her head buried under Misaki's chin, crying her little eyes out because she had no idea why the Kaiyo was suddenly trying to explode around her.

Once the strain began to die down, Misaki had to force herself to stop shivering while manipulating her own gravity to keep her and Kikyo from flying backwards into the wall. The XO's head followed where Eden's pointed, the only difference was instead of Eden's stoic expression, Saki had the motherly look of concern.

Hanna fired her submachine gun at the flying Neko until the final split-second, when she boosted laterally out of the vicious arc of the aether saber. In an instant, she was out of melee range and shot another pulse of aetheric energy towards the Neko.

With that action, Hanna had only slightly decreased the chances of a melee engagement. The tall Neko would likely continue to press her advantage. After shooting another pulse, Hanna swiftly boosted seven meters past the oncoming Neko, whilst aiming a lethal hit-and-run slash at the tall Neko's neck with her aether saber bayonet.

Once the attack was resolved, she resighted her weapon, and turned around to see the results of her strike...

Sweat beaded from Iemochi's brow as he worked unwaveringly, rerouting power to failing systems, performing complex calculations best he could and other, more instinctual than logical motions. A stream of commands to Boss poured from his mouth, barely breathing as error messages disappeared and reappeared. "Open all vents, divert all coolant from idle systems to the engines. Hemosynthesise all you can around ports other than the one nearest to the engines, we need to stop them splitting open at these pressu-." As a pink ball of feathers shot across his vision, Seinosuke's concentration broke for a moment. As soon as she appeared to be unharmed, he immediately got back to working.

Glancing to the live feed from the engines as Ana cleared the room, he barked once more - "Deploy fire suppression in the engines, everything we've got." After some heated mental arithmetic, Mochi's blood ran cold. The engines had been hard-shutdown and they were still in CFS at speeds that would annihilate them if it was dropped to allow them to slow by gravity or particulate resistance.

No, that wasn't quite right. "Eden, there's no way to slow down inside the CFS, we need to drop it if we're going to stop." the raven spoke to her telepathically with a grim optimism. "Boss, you'll need to find very small celestial bodies on my starcharts, the gravity needs to be strong enough to slow us but not kill us all. We'll drop when we pass them, re-shielding when we pass too close to high gravity areas."

Orion had arrived to the PA bay once instructed to armor up, and instead of grabbing a sniper rifle of some sort he went for an aether saber. Yes he was much more inexperienced with it, but it was a gun. And he was good with guns.

He got up to a firing stance once the other "enemy" armors where in view. As the ship then rocked, he immediately left that stance and tried to get in a position where he wouldn't fall over. Unfortunately for the blue winged elysian, he did, now scrambling to get up from the floor to fire his new gun at the now stumbling enemy.

Yoshida staggered and spun as she was hit- luckily, the barrier module around her would surely protect her. Surely. As she spun, with one hand she squeezed the trigger on her gattling gun to warm it up, while with the other, she grabbed a scalar grenade from the belt- having forgotten to replace some with flash bangs, and threw it at the enemy armors just in time for her gattlign gun to finish spinning up so she could begin unloading, and clamped both hands onto it properly to get a better aim.

This was of course, at the same time the nh-28 came barreling in, noting it was treated as a friendly by her armor she steered her gun away from the grey bugger and her target. "Watch for the crossfire!" She sent over the channel. She didn't know what to think of the thing- but it was attacking the enemy, and listed as a friend. She couldn't very well have it suffer some friendly fire.

Anna was flying down the hall as fast as she could when suddenly that figure appeared before her. She tried to stop but his sudden appearance made her run straight into him and onto the floor. Anna looked like a baby compared to the god-like figure as he asked his question.

Meanwhile Anne was flying through the corridors- searching for her sister, gun in hand. "I.......I am an I'ee" Anna said, looking up at the figure as she sat on the floor.

"An I'eeee?" he asked, bending down with his hands on his hips. His gut sort of sagged as he did so and folded over his groin. He looked uncomfortable and straightened up. "I see, I'ee. Stand before me," he said in a pompous, booming voice.

Anna, as commanded, hovered above the ground in front of him. She looked over the magnificent figure, who truthfully fightened her as much as it excited her. From around the corner flew Anne, where she prepared to shoot the being that was looming over her sister, not knowing that he was friendly.

"Oh, hello," the man said with a hearty chuckle. "Well aren't you two quite the pair?" He looked to the I'ee with the gun, Anna, and back to Anne. "Sisters?" he asked. "I do not know, I'm not from your universe..."

Anne look up to his eyes when she spoke. "Yes, one of my many sisters.." Was all she got out before Anna fired her gun towards the creature, thinking it was an intruder. Once the first shot rang out, Anne hit the floor to try and avoid being hit.

The man disappeared in a flash of soft light as the gun fired and then was behind Anna, tapping her on the shouder before snapping his fingers in her ear. Her gun had turned into a lily flower in her hands.

Anne was still on the ground, covering her head when the man vanished. Anna on the other hand was breathing heavily as the man, being astonished by what she just witnessed. She let out a small yelp as she was tapped on the shoulder. She also dropped her now lily onto the floor and turned around. Anna looked as though she was about to speak but couldn't.

"It's been fun girls, but—" he snapped his fingers and was gone.
