Sanda stood by and watched Pidole and Azumi work. She was already geared up and ready to go. After the disaster that took place during their last mission, Sanda had made sure that anyone leaving the ship was well briefed and on the same page. The Medics were taking the lead, everyone else was there to assist them. They were to help distributed supplies, assist in moving any injured, and anything else to help. Even though they were there to help, they also needed to be on their guard. It was just a wise thing to be aware of what was going on around you. People in destress didn't always act rationally. They were to also be constantly reporting in as to what they were doing and where they were doing it. A little extreme but again after the disaster of the last mission better to over communicate than under. Above all, they were to conduct themselves in a manner that reflected Yamatai. She had made it a point to repeat that a few times, particularly looking at Maximus as she said it.

Sanda overheard Chiasa's comment about the musician that used to be assigned to the Res. Kawaba. Music Bug. Sanda smiled as she thought about her shy little friend. "Yes, she would have indeed enjoyed the music." Sanda commented. Seeing that the medics looked ready to go she radioed the Bridge. "Away team to Res. We are ready to go. Thunder heading out first to secure connection point. Stand by." With that she took the point with Pidole. "Open the hatch, make sure we got a secure seal and I'll make sure nothing eats you or your Beetle." Sanda joked.

I’m assuming this is taking place a bit after 171st made first contact

Once they were all on board the massive Ark ship, Vec addressed the team. “There’s a small number of resilient survivors in the Ark ship’s hospital,” he said, referencing the periodic reports the 171st had been sending out. “So our mission is simple. Start moving them out to the ship so they can get medical attention somewhere with consistent power. Med team’s going to be with me for that. We’re Alpha team. Bravo team, Hoshi, that’s you and the techs, get supplies distributed then get the first batch of tagged and sorted refugees onboard. If we’re not back by the time you’re done, I’m pretty sure they can use some extra hands at Port Hope. If we finish before you do, we do our part to treat any green or yellow level casualties. We’re not staying long, but I don’t doubt we’ll be back. Questions, comments, suggestions? Let's not forget, lives are depending on us.”

Thought the people listed were on the away mission. Can edit if necessary

Rin nodded, it would seem their saviors had it down. The Yamataian efficiency was to her satisfaction, she even accepted her own wristband. The rest of her Ysi for the most part were on the military ships. She had her reasons for being where she was, most of them political - her brother had been adamant from the start that when times got tough the Imperial bloc would suffer along with the general population, with the exception of those in certain lines of succession. The Queen couldn't help but be a little jealous of Naika's situation, her inlaw tucked away in stasis on the Aiathogu.

There was a flicker in the internal chamber, the lighting went off and then on. It had started, the moments ahead were the hardest. It was doubtful that these outsiders knew the pain that would be felt. The bonds between ship and crew were something that ran deep, and the first of the Akelost down spiraled deeper towards its impending doom. It struggled and fought holding on not for itself but waiting for its inhabitants to be evacuated to the now sea of Yamataian ships. Rin reached up and wiped a tear from the corner of her eye, a woman like her expected not to show such things in public - it didn't matter much because she was the black sheep anyway, she couldn't help but wonder what rumors would fly as a result of all this. Sinith was dead, there was still a funeral ahead and Airwin had given her the coldest of shoulders as he grieved.

Progress had begun to be made. The MERN soldiers on board kept things moving to assist their allies while others remained on station, especially at the lower levels where containment housings were. It was a shame that no one had noticed that days before as the Leviathan began its earliest signs of death, that necrotic ablation had already shed away enough of some of the containment barriers which had allowed what was inside to slither off into the depths of space. It was all a sin that would someday come to haunt them, but it was not the day for it. The process of elimination had begun in the other containment holdings though, as the last of the dimensional monstrosities that were kept there were being exterminated.

Rin watched, slowly in file with the rest of the refugees bound for the ships. Surely someone would call on her if she was needed, until then she just waited.

Prince Uaeos had slipped away from the bridge in need to handle a personal matter during the frenzy of activity. His arrival in Medical Storage had a group of doctors in a frenzy as the sheer priority of the Imperial Bloc changed timetables on surgical beds and other services. Airwin stood over the stasis tank and whipped the condensation from its surface long enough to see the ravenesque beauty within. The doctors worked in sync, using allotted and reduced Mindhive services to trigger the release of the Princess Consort from stasis. It was safe now, relatively anyway. Uaeos had no doubt that his brother Jun had already woken up Dawn, the two were always somewhat of a standard Uaeos had measured his own relationships.

After a few minutes the pod with Naika within tipped verticle, the front of the case would open, and in a rush of synthetic fluid, she would be expelled from within. The Prince stood ready, a white medical towel in hand for her taking. Meanwhile, doctors would run scans, and approach to inject her with several "jumps" of boosters and nanomechanical slurries including vitamins to hopefully assist with her revival from stasis.

"Ai't kar o'vi eirdaji," ("I'm glad you're awake") Uaeos said to Naika, "Welcome back to a little less of a horrible state of existence..."

Admiral Aphelion monitored the arrival of more Star Army ships, it appeared that there was far more of a response than she had ever dreamed, "Incoming Star Army Ships, welcome. We are grateful for your assistance. This is Admiral Aphelion Caeyara of the MERN Aiathogu, lead Ithaca-Class Titan of the surviving Minatu Empire Royal Navy. If you need any instruction or help outside of your own chain of command, I am here to assist..." she said, then placed the quantum communication on hold.

Poppy shrugged apologetically at Chiasa. She was thinking about patients more than the music and was just hoping she'd be able to help. She briefly pulled out her NSP and put it on stun mode then checked the charge count, which was 48 of 50, and then put it back in its holster, then hauled a stack of grav-gurneys and a medical kit bound together with several large zip-ties, into the clear tunnel, dragging them behind her on a woven ballistic nylon strap, meeting Pidole on the other side.

When Vec started asking the technicians to leave the ship they looked at each other in obvious confusion, unsure why the doctor was giving orders to them. "Sir, I can come but I'd like Azumi and Tomoko to stay with the docking tube in case of issues," Pidole spoke up. "We came to set up the connection, but were not aware we would be asked to join the away team," she explained.

"Lowering ship internal compartment temperatures to 15 Celsius," Plum's voice sounded over the crew's communication net. "That's about 60 F for you Nepleslians," she giggled.

Cassie arrived in her Mindy armor, with its antigrav systems offline. "I'm on security," she explained. "It's possible we could have a desperate crowd situation," she explained, fading away as she activated her optic camouflage. "I'll try to be inconspicuous." She crawled along the handholds in the clear tunnel, tugging her way to the Norian ship, and then took up a position to keep near her bunkmate Poppy, placing her gauntlet on Poppy's shoulder reassuringly.

Next was Beryl Leyton, who was hauling a floating cargo palette full of water bottles, boxes of breakfast bars, bananas, and some other snacks and goodies to hand out. She even had a box of teddy bears wearing little Star Army Type 35 duty uniforms with the sailor hat. "Let's see if we can find some of the MERN soldiers who can show us where to go," Beryl suggested.

Naika's eyes shot open, her gaze falling to the floor beneath as she stumbled out of the pod that had contained her. Everything seemed to be initially overwhelming. Stasis fluid dripped off her into puddles of disgusting mess on the ground. Anxiety began to creep in as she thought over how she had just been ejected from stasis covered in this viscous goop, not knowing what had transpired. Her thoughts were stopped abruptly by Uaeos' voice drawing attention elsewhere. A soft, yet audible sigh of relief passed her lips upon seeing him. His voice and presence calmed any other immediate fears or concerns that may have been held at the time. She nodded gratefully as she accepted the towel from him, careful to not cover him in the stasis fluid as she did so. Deftly, her hands wrapped the white medical towel around her body. "Air air kyr sai mi o eindral, sharaelaes si tosestalaer tae shi," ("It is good to see you again, whatever the circumstances may be") Naika said to Uaeos.

There was so much more she wanted to ask, but medical personnel had approached. "Thank you," she murmured to the doctors as she accepted their aid. Her eyes briefly flitted away from her husband to take in her surroundings. The facility was that of the last place she remembered being, but there was an off aura. Something here was amiss, she looked to Uaeos tilting her head ever so slightly with a curious look upon her face.

Akelost Leviathan Hybrid Ark Alpha - Exterior

Diplomatic Courier Cruiser Himiko sat off the nose of the Leviathan, gently coaxing debris to the dying creature's "mouth", as it were, as several tugs sat equidistant near the midsection and nose. EVA teams already scrambled across the vast creature's surface, several of them trailing thick power cables towards coupling orifices.

"Himiko, this is Khaturat Power Team Alpha. Most of these power couplings are sealed, we're going to have to cut and weld, and hope the connectors can handle the voltage."

"Understood, Alpha. Communicating the situation to Akelost, now. We see it on your cam feeds. Be careful, this ship's still alive."

"Speaking of. This is exploratory team Gamma. We're over by the engine towers, and we're seeing a lot of necrosis, I don't think this ship will ever move again, even if we do manage to stabilize her. We're trying to exise what we can without rupturing the hull, but I don't think I've ever been glad to be on an EVA to do a surgery like this."

"Do what you can. Keeping the ship stable and comfortable right now is the mission priority. Yamataian medical teams are already inside dealing with the smaller peoples. Do what you have to. Keep the leviathan alive."

"Doing our best. Our beam cutters aren't doing a damn thing against some of this armor. You'd think charged uranium at near luminal would burn through just about anything, but this stuff is harder than Shurista's shields."

"See if you can get a sample. Materials will thank you." The back and forth transmissions continued as the Yamataian away teams could easily see the vividly colored neoprene and golden steel space suits scrambling across the Leviathan's hull. Everything from the blood-blue of medics, and the high visibility white of construction, to the black and gold of Civil Service search and rescue teams. Damage control green and farmers greens worked hard at managing the dying portions of the ship, consolidating resources and attempting to harmonize past the language barrier with native teams, as well.

While Alpha was by far the most severely wounded of these leviathans, similar conversations and team movements carried out across the fleet of Norian vessels, every member of the Shuristan Salvage Fleet and every member of Search and Rescue working to tend to the great bioships so that the other governments' teams could more easily access interiors and evacuate civilian survivors.

"We have power!" one of the power coupling teams called out, a tug spooling its reactors to full output as crudely welded power couplings surged and flowed. Ground teams carefully monitored the throughput, ugly holes in the armor of the bioship hull allowing access to power cables to monitor voltage and frewquency actively, tuning the couplings to match as offered energy was absorbed and utilized. No more than the ship would accept would ever be forced down those lines as more and more couplings came online. "Repeat, Khaturat Team Beta, we have coupled power, please inform the Yamataians, get the locals to give us updates as we attempt to slave over the power system and give this old girl some rest. Send medical and engineering down to the ship's reactor and pull it offline, see if we can make repairs while we supply power from here. Alpha's coupling should be ready ETA 5 minutes. We have five more tugs coupling their reactors to this ship, We should have enough juice to bring everything online, and then we can start repairs. She'll be rolling under her own power before too long, but I don't think she's gonna live much longer."

"Understood, Beta. Good work. When the newcomers have a fleetyard location, we'll give this one a tow. The others can be towed, as well, if they don't want to run their engines after what they've been through."

As she traversed the length of the docking tube, Chiasa’s pink gaze went wide upon taking in the busy Senti Civil Service personnel working on the massive “hull” of the dying Ark Leviathan. From what she had been briefed on, she knew that they were working to restore power to key areas of the Leviathan to facilitate the evacuation, but their efforts were also palliative in nature. Unfortunately, there was no amount of treatment that could save the massive living starship, but they could make it comfortable. And yet, that comfort needed to be balanced with the needs of the Norians themselves.

She could only hope that the needs of the Norians and the dying Ark didn’t conflict. Fortunately, there were people far more capable than she was working to resolve the issue. That left Chiasa to play her small part in a symphony of millions.

As soon as she stepped inside the Ark’s strange, semi-fleshy, yet beautiful interior, the CMO’s authoritative voice met her ears and Chiasa set her mind back to the task at hand.

“Are we going to link up with any Norian medical staff?” She asked. They had the resources to help, but Chiasa didn’t like the idea of doing guesswork with people’s lives and she was sure that Vec was of the same mind. “We also need an efficient way to exchange information. Is there any way we can link to the mindhives? I could download files on Norian anatomy and medicine from there.” She hoped that one of the technicians or scientists might be of some assistance with that. If anything, Chiasa was willing to be the dummy for an exchange, if needed.

Iemochi Seinosuke whistled gently beside Cassie as she disappeared, looking out to the huge ships hanging in the inky blackness of space. It was quite impressive, and it was certainly something to see as he slid his emerald eyes out to the veritable Fleet of Yamataian ships and other vessels that had come to the event. Personally, he'd missed both Nataria and Glimmergold because of duties on Virginia, so this was quite a new sight. Mochi himself was clad in his non-PA loadout, given they probably didn't need Mindies, but felt kind of naked going into an unknown situation without any armour or gear. Sending a telepathic message to Euikoshi, "Let's go aboard and see if we can help with anything. I'd imagine there's some use for our skills. Maybe getting some good scientific reports on what brought our new friends here."

Out in Space
In the distance, the navy-blue BATON ships were following Cassie's idea. Discreetly, they were deploying a few cloaked individuals here and there, quietly filtering unseen amongst the other forces on and entering the Leviathans. The YSS Wyvern was doing something similar, although they didn't know it, and were instead deploying fully visible. CSAR teams were entering at the same time as the 117th across the various vessels, giving thumbs up and other fraternal gestures to the Senti that were fixing up the great living ships. SAR were SAR, no matter where they came from.

Some time later, 4th Fleet's standard SAR units began to slowly filter towards the Leviathans, after the quicker-responding Rescue Jumpers were already all inside. Similarly, the 4th Fleet's repair ships began to deploy, their personnel sidling up beside the Shuristan Senti on the outer hulls. They seemed to go about their own work, but several of them were watching and helping the Senti best they could using Yamataian technology and skills.

After the Ryu-Mizumtisus arrived, several large ships - although nowhere as big as the Leviathans or Izanagis - could be spotted drifting towards the incident site from the edge of the System. They were still a while off by the looks, and had no readable life signs or much heat signature to speak of, almost as if they were open to space. Amongst their number was what appeared to be some kind of small but manned technical ship, which was pinging a discreet and unobtrusive message. It had the readouts of a regular habitable craft whereas the others didn't. "This is IIS, we're moving some of our mobile fabricators into the system. Let us know if anything needs creating to help with the efforts. Blankets, hull parts, rescue equipment or anything smaller than a whole ship. Although, if we have time, we can make those too."

Leyton-Heisho wouldn't have to look hard for a MERN presence, despite the situation still being very dire it was starting to lighten. The very presence of these saviors had caused a shift in the direction of hope, a cluster of MERN soldiers hung out near one of the accessways into what appeared to be a major unit within the leviathan. The people there were still waiting for evacuation, yet something appeared to be going on inside the chamber. One of the soldiers, in full tactical gear, turned and said quietly, "Oh I didn't know you had made it this way. I'm Commander Reitian, and this..." he turned and "...is the Church of the Builders. They are praying for the orphans of those who didn't have IDE. If you're here to take the orphans, we can help," he referred to the rest of his team. Within was a well-lit chamber, not illuminated with the conventional lights that had been built into other areas of the Leviathan, this was more bioluminescence cast by the mighty living ship itself, even in its dying moments, it kept all it could running as if the prayers of those gathered within truly mattered. The infants lined just below the altar and the massive statue of the Builder Unya was above them, with her arms outstretched across nearly the entire width of the temple chamber.

Near the YSS Resurgence Docking Tube

"Did you say Medical Staff?" one of the MERN soldiers questioned Chiasa and Vec as they passed by, the blonde-haired female soldier didn't want to slow their walk so she started to walk with them, "If you're looking for a doctor to help, I know where the best one in the whole fleet is. I can take you there if you like, but you're on the wrong Leviathan. Do you have a way to get us to Beta?" she questioned.

The Shurista had brought power, and a groan exhumed across the channels of hyperspace as Akelost Alpha hummed low. The deep baritone harmony was a solemn continuation of the requiem and gratitude it could not have participated in before. Although ill beyond repair, the Ark siphoned off the offered power and put it into use to bring the internal atmosphere to Yamatai standard gases, it was not able to affect the temperature but at least now on Alpha the members of the Star Army would not need masks.

Communications were pushed to quieter, encrypted channels as the slowly passing leviathan reached out to the others, including the three military Titans. The dying Ark wished a gift be given to the Yamataians and Shurista later, one that would leave its memory within their minds.

The Prince forced a smile, it was a heavy smile though. The reunion was full of emotion and the vesper bond between him and his wife surged with visualizations of the moments that had been missed, with the emotions past and present. He cursed his own visible emotional cracks as he waited for the doctors to clear. Every second was a minute, every minute an hour as he shared his innermost being in their people's most intimate way. Uaeso had already sent his request to the one called Taisho Hanako for his wish to travel to Pieces Station with the refugees, he had plenty of things to do before then, and they both did. His arms wrapped around Naika's lithe frame, and he picked her right up off the floor and carried her over to the examination table, projected scans popped up around the table and one of the nurses brought a uniform to her for her to change into.

"I am going to need your eyes and ears, we are to go with some of the survivors. Your additional perception could come in useful," he said, in reference to her previous career skills in intelligence analysis. He wished to see more than the surface of those who had come to save them.

Admiral Aphelion was doing her best; she had to manage traffic from the leviathans, the MERN soldiers deployed on them, the soldiers on the military leviathans, and all the incoming information and communications from the assisting vessels. "Thank you, IIS, if there is any way you or the other ships gathered can prepare some basic supplies such as blankets, tools for repairs to conventional technology, and portable cooling systems, for delivery to this ship and the other two military Titans we would appreciate it. Our soldiers have sacrificed their own rations to keep those on the Arks fed. I think the other Taisho (@Ametheliana ) said something about agricultural ships. We could certainly use some food and water now that the refugees are being taken off the three Arks," she said over the system-wide channel the newcomer had been added to.

Akelost Leviathan Hybrid Ark Beta

Bridge

"Secure core," Katara said as she emerged into the bridge 'cathedral' of the second of the Arks. The mindhive retracted its internal husk to separate the massive cathedral chamber from the rest of the Ark to create a secure compartment. The bridge of an Ark was something to see even for a Norian, there were few Leviathans built to that kind of measure and it had taken years to prepare them. It was like a cavern, with dark glossy flesh walls but massive conventionally built niranium platforms, catwalks, and other structures. The command level was the largest and most central. Blue lighting illuminated the interior, but the overall illumination was low saved for the volumetric projections at workstations much like one would find on a vessel of the Star Army but darker.

Tal'Cel Katara Caeyara wore a tactical suit minus the helmet, not out of a need for protection but because of the inner environmental controls - a couple of degrees change in Beta's temperature had made her uncomfortable. She was used to the more intense environment of a MERN ship, but her Mina-Class Stealth Leviathan had been destroyed at Ayenee. She sat down in the throne-like command chair, and the second her ass hit the seat the exterior walls of the cavern faded to a complete volumetric 360-degree view around the Leviathan along with sensor readouts.

She sighed in an uneasy way and kept her head propped back, she didn't really need a lot of the scans of the assisting ships - that was part of what made it all uncomfortable. She had plenty of talks with Airwin and even requested to stay on Ayenee, or even risk a mission to get one of their hidden ships back in the Avaen Universe - Anywhere but there. What would happen if she was found? Surely the green hair, the slender pointed ears, and the very Norian guts of her body would make it impossible for them to know her secrets, her shame, her illegal nature of being that would likely have her thrown in a brig. She adjusted her posture a little and tugged upon the do-up of her ponytail as she watched all the ships.

"Bridge to Medical, Jun how are you holding up down there?" she opened a communication to Prince Jun in the hospital facility.

Jun answered back, some noise in the background, "Still moving along, I have some more surgeries - I can't wait to see when they get to us. I'll keep you up to date. Just try to remain calm, I know you're probably up there in knots," he replied.

Katara closed her eyes for a moment, "If knots had knots, I'd be that...If snakes had a dozen eyes, they'd all look at me...from the highest to the lowest and back to the highest...It is my hope that the coming days will bring change and hopefully peace to the Empire...Changed you have and so have I, but how much?" she said distantly.

YSS Mazu

Bridge

"Understood, we'll get to it. Vectors going out to all ships in the area." Got sent out in text to the very busy Aphelion and her command staff, Akina recognized someone who could deal with one less major thing to worry about, so she updated her fleet to a new vector and operation: Ark Beta. The Mazu was the prototype for the 2A upgrade of the Takumi, so it had a positively massive hospital on board that usually were fitted to stations like the Iori. She intended to use every bed she had, and cram every non-critical corridor and compartment with as many uninjured or only slightly wounded Norians as possible.

The flag found herself interested and heartened by the response to Xylar, and was buoyed by the response of other groups like the impressive showing of the Senti.

"Triage teams are ready. Environment modified and holding stable.", The operations officer informed the command staff. As they switched to ion-maneuvering, she glanced to to her XO with a little smile as the new command cruiser of the fleet oriented itself with free docking ports on the leviathan. Other ships in their fleet were nearing as well, including all of their hospital ships.

The production bays on the Mazu were working on supplies they knew that they would run out of when their new guests came aboard, including basic necessities for medical care and to make their time lining various parts of the ship as comfortable as possible for the trip to the star fortress. The crew manning the sections of the vessels not sealed off were in encounter suits as a precaution.

The mass of the Mazu stopped relative to Leviathan Ark Beta, exposing the most amount of docking airlocks available, as they snaked out towards the massive living ship.

"Kaoru, you have the bridge. I'm going to get over there to help while we're docked.", She squeezed her shoulder, and was out of the bridge after they only shared a nod. She only took two people with her with pistols, and they were actually just medics, but they joined her after she was also suited up at the airlock identified as their primary was being sealed and pressurized against the hull.

"Contact good!" One of the technicians chattered out through their suit. She received reports there were no major issues at the other airlocks, and she looked behind her at the medical teams with stretchers waited in a throng to go aboard and start triaging, stabilizing, and evacuating the most wounded. Most of her pilots were assisting all over the ship to shore up the hospital on board, guide walking survivors, and generally do whatever needed to be done, as there was no need for thousands of power armors or squadrons of fighters in space just then.

Once they were motionless, the flurry of activity of smaller craft resumed between the different ships of the First Expeditionary Fleet, shuffling logistics and personnel around between mostly docked vessels and some which could not or would not be docking with the Ark. Their AO became a hive of activity as the now darkened interiors of their ships became a new refuge for the war-weary.

As both sides opened, the taisho took a heaving breath and signaled forward with one hand, "Take them upon thy bosom, as they art our own now.", Is all she gave as the go-ahead across the responding net of ships. She hurried across the long tube of the airlock with the teams in hot pursuit just a step or two behind her, only stopping at the end for a pause, to step foot inside a method of conveyance that intrigued her in theory, and seeing it did not remind her of the harrowing last wars, so she pressed on.

On the lead Minori-class vessel attached to Ark Beta, Ayano started to talk to Norians and her staff to start getting priority patients and any Norians with medical knowledge into the three decks that were going to be her world until there was no one left to save.

Akelost Leviathan Hybrid Ark Beta

The atmospheres mixed between the Ark and the waiting ships. Akina helped her officers direct the river of soldiers aboard from medics, doctors, pilots, technicians, anyone that didn't need to be at their normal duty station was either wading past her to meet refugees, or back on their respective ship helping in other ways. She did take in the sights where they started to take stock and triage. Akina flagged down someone with the most apparent authority to announce the fleet both as a formality and to give the proceedings a more calm air, even though they had sent data ahead of time to help coordinate a more quick transfer so more trips could be made.

"We are the First Expeditionary Fleet, and we're here to help."

FDS Brave Star

With the Red Mountain docked firmly with the ark, the Brave Star's end of the connection hissed open as the medics checked to make sure everything was good. Not finding anything wrong, the Red and Grey clad medics rushed in to begin providing what ever aid they could. While they were SAoY trained, they were not entirely useless.

Another pair of individuals, this time clad in the colors of Black Crane Securities guarded this entrance with their katanas in their sheathes as they ushered in those who could walk into the Brave Star.

Vec led Alpha Team through the leviathan’s alien interior with Kōchō following on their heels in roll mode. A young soldier fell in next to them asking if they were looking to help a doctor and telling them that they’d have to go to Beta. “According to the last report out, there were still some survivors in the medical facilities on Alpha,” he said without pausing, “My orders are to get them somewhere where a power fluctuation won’t kill them.” Truth be told, Aoba had sent them in to simply drop off supplies and evacuate refugees. The Resurgence wasn’t planning to stay on station here for very long. “Once we’ve achieved our primary mission, I can talk with my Captain about helping on Beta. If the reports about seriously ill or wounded were wrong, I’ll contact the Captain for updated orders, in the end, it’s his call not mine.”

Naika gently rested her head against her husband's chest as he carried her over to the examination table. This small gesture served two purposes, to provide some measure of comfort to him and to steel herself for the work inevitably in front of them. Afterall, what she felt upon waking was nothing in comparison to what he had been through. Emotionally intense images flooded her mind of things shared through their vesper bond. Such suffering he had witnessed and endured with the survivors while she was in stasis. A wave of guilt rushed over her for not having been able to do more. No time to wallow in guilt, now that she had been looked over by medical personnel there were things that needed to be done.

After taking a moment to collect herself, she slowly shifted herself to sit perched on the edge of the table. Her hands gripped the table and with a soft sigh she pushed up to a standing position. Any stray black hairs were brushed back as the nurse approached with a uniform. "Thank you," Naika said gratefully, accepting the uniform from the nurse. Swiftly she donned the uniform and tidied her hair into a ponytail. Uaeos' words echoed in her ears as she turned to face him. "As you wish Uaeso-ko," she said in a somber tone. The Princess Consort moved to approach the Prince. Thoughts swam through her mind of those that had saved them. While incredibly thankful for being rescued, surely there must be more to the intentions of some beneath the surface.

Lounge, to airlock

It's been a few days since her body transfer to a new and better Consort body. So she was a lot quicker in reaction. So when Mazumi heard about the new mission the ship would take on. Mazumi dressed in her caretaker best, a cute little kimono, though she kept her hair the same. The Sprite-in-consort prepared drinks in the lounge, making sure that it made them with Norians in mind so that they could enjoy them. Once this was done, she left the lounge to meet up with the first of the refugees. She hoped she looked cute and presentable as she was representing the Mazu, Yamatai and also Minato and Kaoru. She wanted to leave a good first impression. From what she’d heard many were hurt, possibly scared and concerned over their lives. She wanted to help and do her part as a caretaker.

YSS Resurgence
Deck 2, Airlock

Yayoi remained silent as she prepared for the mission. it reminded her of when the Resurgence came to pick her up, which made her wonder. Would she be a Sanda for another Yayoi? the thought amused her as she began moving out, following behind Sanda as she kept her eyes forward.

Akelost Leviathan Hybrid Ark Alpha, Alpha Team

Being able to talk to new people always made Thia excited, but she'd been almost overwhelmed when it dawned on her during briefing that she'd get to talk to members of races from a different universe. More questions than she could easily enumerate without writing them down raced through her head. Would she even be able to understand them? Did they think in the same way? Did they have similar mental states? What could they tell her of the other universe?

As she adjusted her grip on the old Type 31 medical kit she was carrying, she hurried to keep up with Vec, Chiasa, and Poppy. Though she wasn't really trained beyond the basics in physical medical issues, as was indicated by the lack of a medic patch on the uniform below her AMES, she still wore the medical teal, so she stuck close to the others.

When a MERN soldier fell in with them and started talking with Vec, Thia slowed slightly until she was a half-step back, careful not to let the drone bite her heels. Without moving her head, Thia examined the soldier and the clothing she was wearing. That answers a few of my questions, Thia thought as she listened to Vec's reply.

"If you're looking for a doctor to help, I know where the best one in the whole fleet is."

“I-” Chiasa very nearly answered, but stopped when Vec spoke instead. Of course, she had a very specific job to do and unfortunately, it didn’t quite allow for her to meet the doctor on Hybrid Ark Beta at the moment. However, that didn’t stop her wanting to regardless!

She didn’t know if any teal panel could refuse the opportunity to meet a reputed doctor from another universe, should a realistic opportunity present itself.

“I appreciate the offer.” The tiny Nekovalkyrja smiled towards the blonde-haired soldier. She was glad that the translator systems were working so well. “Unfortunately, I can’t accept it at this time, but I wanted to ask about something else.” Chiasa continued.

“Is there any way I could establish a link to one of your computer systems or an equivalent? I’m interested in downloading a primer on Norian anatomy and physiology.”

YSS Battle of Elysia

"Have we gotten that linked up for them?" Keiu Anrui asked her mission operator, whose reply was that the traffic around the ships had made space lanes less than optimal for a 1300 meter ship, let alone two. Anrui shook her head, speaking calmly but with a decisiveness. "Then have someone move but I want those aggy ships to get through, okay? I'll cut a path for them with the forked prow of the Elly if I have to... Really? Good. Gomen, Heisho. Really good work. Let the first Daikoku know. Arigatou."

Then to the channel open to the MERN vessel she spoke: "This is that other Taisho, Keiu Anrui. Confirming that an immediate bout of food stuffs will be delivered to the MERN Aiathogu and two military Titans from agricultural ships. Admiral Aphelion, it would aid our ships in providing for your specific dietary needs if some of your own preferred flora was relayed to us and those ships- of which we are sharing comms with. To be sure our cooking staff on the YSS Battle of Elysia can best serve your people while aboard, some recipes and staples would be appreciated. The comfort of those traveling to their new homes may revel in the familiarity of a home cooked meal- or at least our best attempts at such. At your own time, Admiral, you've got a lot on your plate already."

The grey-paneled mission operator gave a hissing laugh at the pun, which made Anrui's tone grow more chipper.

"Water and food are being delivered to you right now. Once those refreshments get to you then it'll really be a party!"

The blonde-haired female MERN soldier, Aunaera Irys sighed in frustration, it took patience to deal with everything that was happening around her, she then explained to both Chiasa and Vec, "That is what I am trying to explain to you, the Mindhives here on Alpha is pretty much dead, you're not going to get any medical information from them. Also, the hospital would have been isolated to rely on its independent power and systems. If you go to Beta, you can find the head of medical, Doctor Jun Caeyara. He can get you the medical information and get you into Alpha's hospital," she told them. Under normal conditions, she would have been able to communicate to the other Ark as it was in range, but with all the interference; the dying leviathan itself, and all the activity it was nearly impossible for her symbiote to connect. Aunaera noticed the other soldier that caught up, Thia, and she gave a slight nod in welcome.

Katara felt the change in the Leviathan as the YSS Mazu docked with it, she sent soothing emotions through her vesper with the ship itself. She opened her eyes and continued to watch the screens. A look of dread filled her oceanic eyes, and she froze the image in place of the First Expeditionary Fleet's Taisho entered with the call, "We are the First Expeditionary Fleet, and we're here to help." Katara suddenly didn't feel well at all. She was the highest commanding officer left alive on Beta and now she was faced with this ghost. She was even more afraid than she was minutes before, she had far more to hide now than just the Norian husk she occupied but there was no way she was going to get past that. There were plenty of logical explanations but, the only thing that circulated in her mind was, 'You're supposed to be dead, and I'm not supposed to exist,' She wanted nothing more than to get off the bridge and curl up in the fetal position in her quarters, but she didn't have that luxury. She brought herself under a controlled composure and rose from the throne-like command station.

"Commander Aisold divert your patrol to greet that woman, she is one of their Taisho. I will be there soon," she issued over communications, she then turned and headed off the bridge the same way she had come.

As she moved through the corridors she couldn't help but fancy the ship itself, a Takumi-Class, even if it no longer looked quite what she remembered. Obviously, someone had been busy. She supposed all the worry over someone killing them had been over-exaggerated.

"Yes, Tia Cel,(My Queen) on your order," Commander Aisold, the younger sister of Admiral Aphelion received her orders. She was already near the position of the docking tube. She moved to meet up with Taisho Shimizu as she was ordered to. The black-haired, red-eyed Norian approached slowly from the port-side corridor, "Welcome aboard, Beta," the commander said to Akina. "Our commanding officer will be along shortly. We're not as badly damaged as the other Arks so we're less of a priority, if you are ready to start loading though, please let me know," she explained, then added, "I'm Command Aisold, sorry...Queen Katara will be here shortly to meet with you."

Medical Storage Facility - Blue Sector

"My father has assured me of the good intentions of Yamatai and its people, I've accepted it for the most part anyway," Uaeso said as he led Naika out of the Medical Storage area and into one of the corridors. Already the illumination was a little brighter (not that it was usually very bright) with more consoles and stations active, the actions of the Shurista had done well for those Leviathans that were not as stricken as Alpha. "We're apparently going to a place called Pieces Station, I figure it is either some military base or civilian starport - either way, they plan to send refugees to different destinations. I've ordered my sister to go to the place they call Virginia when it is time, and my brother Jun is to go to a planet called Akina. Dad will watch over things from Yamatai, he's still there with the head of their military," he summarized.

He made a gentle nod toward some officers they passed in the dimly lit corridor, "Our power systems for the most part other than basic are being supplemented, I've prohibited any asune us, last thing we need s to be followed or spread or problem to those who have come to aide us. They're focusing on evacuating Alpha, and they've been sticking to the Arks - we can sort out who is staying and who is going before we leave," he said as he stepped into the lift and the membrane-like door closed behind them. As the lift moved into motion he coiled his arms around Naika and whispered, "I am tired, more tired than I have ever been," he admitted in the moments of privacy.

Bridge

Admiral Aphelion couldn't help but smile at the demeanor of this Taisho on the other end of the communications, "We're herbivores, I take it you have vegetables as the Ayeneans do? Hopefully nothing like...lima beans, I think is what they called them, none of those please if I can be picky. I can send you some information on our foods but for the most part, we're without any of our own. There is a seed vault back in our home universe that we had hoped to have gotten to, but it didn't happen. I can tell you any who end up on your ships will be thankful for any meals you offer, we stand by for your shipments though for those who will be staying behind," she replied.

Chiasa frowned, immediately sensing that she had misunderstood the Norian or worse, overstepped. Regardless, with so much transpiring around the blonde-haired elf, Chiasa could sympathize with the stress that she was under. After all, she had just left her home universe to enter one that was completely unknown. In doing so, the technology that her people relied upon for survival had failed for reasons beyond their conception, leaving them to starve in deep space until help could arrive.

While Chiasa sometimes struggled with seeing beyond herself, she still wanted to do her best to help.

“Oh.” Chiasa blinked, before resetting her focus. “I know your people have been through a lot, so I apologize if I seem self-absorbed.” She began. “I think I understand now, though. Thank you.” The medical specialist finished, before shifting her gaze towards her commanding officer.

Unfortunately, the fact that Vec didn’t have telepathy or the ability to receive transmissions via mind-to-mind networking made it slightly more difficult for Chiasa to communicate with him in situations such as this, where words might be inconvenient, unwieldy, or unsubtle. However, the tiny Nekovalkyjra gave the dark-skinned trauma surgeon a look that might suggest what she wanted to convey.

They needed to go to Hybrid Ark Beta.
