That's (supposed to be) a giant hoop around the ship's hull. And yes, the tear drop design is based off of the Yui-class. And yes, Ayame-class ships are escorted by Yui-class ships. Even the Ketsueki-class is tear drop shaped if you squint your eyes. (Fear the recursive design.)

Soul transfer. You'll go to the medbay to have a flash backup of yourself and your memories up to that point, in case your body is...destroyed while on a dangerous mission. Standard procedure before an away mission like that.

It's so easy to cut yourself off from the rest of the world when you're on a college campus. I'll try to resist the urge.

Next Celia plot post from me will come this weekend, hopefully. It'll be a slightly longer one, so give me time.

I've been pretty busy this week. There probably will not be a plot post this weekend. Sorry. There will most likely be one next weekend, however.
