Star Army has been having some issues with email which I'm working on resolving.

Current issues:

• Gmail seems to be rejecting emails from us due to an DNS record thing. Other email providers may also be affected.
• Email in general isn't being sent reliably, causing people to miss notifications by email - this is due to a limit per hour from our host, that is sometimes hit in peak hours
• Due to the above, email verification has been disabled for account creation temporarily

Star Army will have two planned outages for upgrades to our two servers as our web host updates them to a new operating system version.

SQL server
Date of upgrade: August 13th
Maintenance Window: 6:00pm PDT - 10:00pm PDT
Expected Downtime: 2 hours
Affected: Forums (wiki will stay running)

WWW Server
Date of upgrade: August 14th
Maintenance Window: 4:00pm PDT - 6:00pm PDT
Expected Downtime: 2 hours

Time and again, @SageShooter proves to this community that he is both supportive of others and responsible for his own actions. Due to recent events, it's clear we need to come up with a smoother process for integrating people's ideas into the setting. I will be working on new rules for how to submit a new faction that are aimed to avoid confusion and negativity.
