Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

NMX Warship

His eyes glanced up at the hole then Takeyu turned toward the Neko and then started looking around. "We need to find the transponder here, you work these area's so I assume you know where it is yes? Find it for me, then we'll remove it carefully and do not damage it," he emphasized the two words and started looking around.

It didn't take long; though perhaps he was just lucky. The transponder was housed neatly in the wall, its mooring brackets in place so that the transponder wouldn't accidentally fall out. "Help me with this!" he ordered the Neko and started getting to work on the unit.

"Jalen-Juni, will be done in ten-fifteen seconds," Takeyu said and gave the Neko a 'come on' look.

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

Engineering

With Hanako's announcement, Yaichiro looked to Kumiko. He was generally keeping systems stable at this point, rather than fixing anything new.

"Very well, but be ready for anything. We may have to get out of dodge, and fast. The fight isn't really over as long as they can still field Pods or Mecha...or until that ship self destructs."

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

NMX Warship

Sune took a moment to review his HUD and noticed that it was showing that the rear of his Mindy had taken damage to the armor, down by 20%. Looking around the room he realized that if the Rippers started firing in here, the transponder would probably not survive.

He signaled his Nodal drones to rise up and start firing suppression fire. He realized that the drones would not last long, but if they slowed the Rippers down even by a few seconds, it might make the difference. Besides until Charisma transmitted to them their target coordinates they had no idea where the Eucharis was. That would leave them a choice of teleporting into space and leaving their prisoners. Something Sune wanted to avoid since they were using one of the techs to help disconnect it, her skill set might be necessary to get it working again.

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

NMX Warship

"If it looses power the transponder codes will be lost," the NMX technician warned. She went to a nearby network switch rack to steal its universal power supply. A solid tone went off as she disconnected it from its power source.

Up above, the Rippers stopped shooting and moved further into the wrecked launch bay. Hearing the noise, they spotted the hole behind the wrecked shuttle and began to move in on it.

Putting on a set of gloves, the neko hurriedly stripped the wires and spliced them so the power from the battery unit would be sent into the transponder, then she disconnected the transponders old power supply.

The lights throughout the NMX ships suddenly turned red. "YOU WILL NEVER MAKE IT," a deep booming voice told the intruders via telapathy. Sensors showed the scout's generators were overloading.

MEGAMI had teleporter coordinates for the fabrication bay ready.

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

"Someone's angry," said Takeyu in a low tone as he watched the Technican, somewhat surprised she was actually helping out, perhaps she 'did' want to survive.

Once the Transponder was removed from the housing, he looked it over quickly and nodded. "Very good," he said and carefully placed it into his pack. Then grabbed the Neko. "You best hang on," he told her and then looked up at the hole.

"Jalen-Juni, got what we came for, ready to leave on your command," he said and checked the charge on his teleportation unit, inputted the coordinates and prayed that they would teleport out before the whole ship blew.

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

NMX Warship

Sune uploaded the coordinates supplied by Charisma, and a warning flashed on his system status screen.

Warning: Teleportation Module Damaged
* Targetting Circuits - Intermittent

Its been one of those kind of days. he thought, as he turned to Takeyu.

"Small change in plans." he said reaching down and picking up the wounded neko. "You are going to have to take both of them with you. My Teleportation Module has been damaged. " He handed the wounded Neko to the tech. "Trying to do a precision teleport into the Eucharis is not an option. I really do not feel like materializing in a bulkhead. So I am going to cover your departure then do a teleport to 100,000 km. It will hopefully put me out of the blast range of this ship. Then I will fly back to the Eucharis. At least that is the idea. Now get the hell out of here."

He punctuated his comment with a burst of fire from his forearm as he spotted a Ripper edging near the hole.

He sent a message back to the Eucharis,
Taisa, Sune here. Sending Takeyu with the transponder and the tech prisoners to Eucharis. Teleportation module damaged, going to attempt a blind teleport out to 100,00 KM after his departure.

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

Takeyu didn't argue; he had his hands full already, if there been another tech he probably would've stayed behind, disobeying orders to protect a superior officer.

In the few seconds that it took, he initiated teleportation, there was a blinding flash of light, then he reappeared in the Fabrication Bay. Looking at the two Nekos, then at the wounded one, before paying attention to what may happen outside of the ship. Get out of there alive sir.... he thought.

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

Kumiko nodded in response to Yaichiro, turning and leaving the room. No point in taking one of the AMES suits from in the Engineering Bay, there was always the chance that Yaichiro would need them, and with the fight not yet completely over... Well, no point taking chances. Instead, she headed down the hallway, grabbing and putting on the first AMES suit she found outside instead. She paused, thinking. "Kage-Shosa, where would I be most useful? Working in person, I can't find stuff on my own anymore."

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

Everything in the scout was bathed in an all-consuming white light and faded to nothingness. Outside, the Eucharis blinked away using a CFS micro-jump just before the disabled NMX ship was torn apart in a massive and blinding explosion.

Now safely away, the battered gunship was free to begin repairs.

YSS Eucharis Bridge

Taisa Hanako unbuckled the straps holding her into the command chair. "I want a shuttle dispatched to find Sune and the prisoners escorted to a containment cell in the medical bay," she ordered. "Each hull breach needs to be examined and repaired."

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

Engineering

Yaichiro looked to Kumiko as she spoke, blinking. She could interface with MEGAMI, right? Yaichiro brought up a screen showing where the breaches were before grabbing an AMES himself.

Code:
DECOMPRESSION/HULL BREACHES:
Cargo Bay, Deck 5
Power Armor Bay, Deck 3
Pylon, Starboard, Deck 4
Wardroom, Deck 1

"The mission isn't over, so hull breaches need patched, then we need to work on replacement systems. We can add to that list as we find things that need repaired. The breaches take priority, and are located here.

As for what's first, repairs on the Power Armor Bay may need to be taken over from Miyazawa-hei depending on if there are injuries for her to tend to; and even if not, she could likely use the help regardless."

After that, he sent a message to the bridge.

"Taisa, requesting that we use the Graviton Projectors to pick debris out of the battle field for the Fabrication Area and put it in the Cargo Bay. We'll need to at the very least synthesize some new CFS conduits and other bypassed components. We'll also need to make a new Antimatter Containment system if you want to use the Starboard Positron Accelerator Cannons anytime soon. Hopefully Fabrication can get started with those raw materials while we patch up the hull.

If you agree, we'll handle the Power Armor Bay and Cargo Bay breaches first."

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

"Proceed with the hull repairs," Hanako told Yaichiro, "but I will not stay to salvage. An aether blast leaves little and it would waste time. We will proceed on our mission, using the NMX transponder to give a false signal and the volumetric systems to appear as the NMX Scout. Hanako out."

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

Location: Unknown

Sune regained consciousness to multiple beeping and flashing lights. The last thing he remembered was trying to get his contrary teleportation unit to engage. He had exchanged a series of blasts with a ripper right before the unit finally engaged, it felt like he had been slammed by a pair of hands. He righted his suit and started taking stock of his armors systems. Teleportation was complete fried; and his armor was down to 55%.

He took a moment to look around and saw the expanding glowing gas cloud that was probably the NMX ship.

Self Diagnostics completed, he had propulsion, but no idea where his ship was. So he settled for sending out a distress call.

Jalen-Juni to Eucharis.
Power Armor Damaged but Primary Systems operational but at reduced capacity.
I am fairly bruised and battered, but appear to have no life threatening injuries.
Locator Beacon Activated. Over.

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

"Miyazawa-Hei, head to the Fabrication Room and see whether there's anything we can use there to patch those hull breaches..."

It was then the battle ended with the scout ship self-destructing into a flash of light and then nothing. Nika quickly went through the recorded transmissions, her face showing concern over the boarding party who were not able to teleport back safely.

Jalen-Juni to Eucharis.
Power Armor Damaged but Primary Systems operational but at reduced capacity.
I am fairly bruised and battered, but appear to have no life threatening injuries.
Locator Beacon Activated. Over.

The neko beemed on seeing the message, "Taisa, Jalen-Juni is alive!" She re-route the sensor's system to her console, "I've locked his location. Permission to pick him up." Nika then quickly made a call to Konoka, "Miyazawa-Hei, leave the hull patching to the engineers, you got folks that need patching... en-routing to pick them up."

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

Fabrication Bay

Konoka's orders had led her far from her usual domain, to the fabrication room, when, lost in thought on what materials here would be of the most help, help found her in the form of Takeyu plus some mysterious guests, which she discovered had moments ago appeared a little ways from her. "Nacayasen-Hei!" called a startled Konoka. "Are you OK?" Then, noticing the strange "guests" as well as his haggard state, and the absence of Sune, she said, "H-Hei, pardon me, but what exactly the fish is going on here?!" Noting the mysterious wounded neko, she added, "Should I treat her? Is she....Don't tell me she's NMX! Not on this ship...Alright, 'Hei." said Konoka sedately, her "poker face" coming back up to play." Are you well enough to get these mysterious guests of ours to Medbay, or..." She drew her pistol and trained it on the non-injured guest. "An explanation would be good. Still, though...." She sighed. "We should get moving. Yes, that would be most helpful, I think." she said, with a jerk of the head indicating that they should keep on going. "I'm going to suppose Jalen-Juni will be needing assistance soon enough. I'd like your help getting ready for his arrival." she added with a wry smile.

Though she was worried about Sune, she figured it was high time she start helping out before all vhaos broke loose. "Let's move these two," she began. "And, on the way, you can tell me what to expect with my next patient. That is, if you're alright." At this, she looked back at Takeyu: At this point, she needed everybody alright, and ready. After all, she planned to make it that way, then.

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

Takeyu looked up upon hearing Konoka's voice, having not noticed her when he had appeared here. "I'm fine," he replied to the concerned Konoka. "Everything is fine for the moment, they helped us get out of there and also helped us get what we came for, for now they aren't a threat, at least not in my opinion," he said and stood up. By now he didn't feel the need to have his weapon trained on the uninjuried Neko, after all she 'did' just help him remove the transponder from the NMX Warship.

"But yes, let's get them to medical. This particular Neko here," he gestured to the one that Sune had treated. "Seem's to be doing a bit better, but she'll need medical treatment none-the-less," said Takeyu as he picked her up. He then gestured to the other Neko to follow him.

"I don't know the Juni's status, I wasn't near him when I teleported out, but I'm sure he is fine," Takeyu said with a reassuring smile as he headed out of the Fabrication Bay and toward Medical.

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

Yaichiro nodded, putting on the AMES as he set Engineering's communications to route to him and Kumiko. He then set the Fabrication Area to make CFS couplings at the least with the resources it already had -- they'd need stable engines and shields.

"Alright...let's get to work on that Power Armor Bay. Then we'll split up and work on other areas depending on the level of damage. Hopefully by the time we're done, the CFS Conduit will be synthesized. If we're needed in Engineering though, be ready to drop what we're doing and get back here...this whole situation doesn't feel right."

YSS Eucharis Bridge

"Let me know when you launch, when you recover Sune, and when you return," Hanako told Nika. "We will go FTL as soon as you are back aboard. Be quick. More NMX forces could be inbound."

The Taisa already had the coordinates set.

YSS Eucharis Medical Lab

The prisoners didn't give Konoka and Takeyu any trouble. The non-injured one seemed mostly concerned with her sister's welfare.

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

Floating in Space

Sune continued to keep an eye out. Worst case scenario was that he would encounter a hostile battle pod. He checked each of his primary systems several times. After that all he had to do was keep alert to anything approaching.

As the adrenline of his escape started wearing off, he became accutely aware of a number of pains. Taking a deep breath elicited pain. That blow to the chest either brused the bones, or gave me a a few hairline fractures to the ribs and or sternum. he thought.

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

Konoka sedately gave an order to the ATU unit: "ATU, please assess the patient's condition. A diagnosis would be, er, helpful." As the unit set to work, Konoka eyed the non-injured neko, seemingly trying to analyze whatever she could about her. To her, she said, "This should work, alright. I'm assuming NMX nekos scan the same as ours."

Watching the NMX neko's concerned face, she observed the scan in progress, adding, "It really doesn't make sense to me. Showing such concern for one sister when you destroy some many others....." She sighed. After all, these NMX nekos seemed to be a lot more cooperative than you'd expect. The prisoner they'd taken recently hadn't been any trouble, either, despite all Konoka's worry when she found her, here in her Medbay, after ST. It was bothering her now, still, having these two in her workspace. They were her enemy, after all: It was Konoka's policy, in general.

If any creature stood with a group against her, they must realize, therefore, that Konoka should and would destroy them. It used to be so simple: Help the allies. Kill those who aid the enemy groups. That, of course, was just dandy on paper. But, this NMX neko's concerned eyes were very similiar to Konoka's, for her crew's safety.

And,now, Konoka supposed, the classifications were changing. But however she could help-doctoring or destroying-she would. that was constant.

Re: [Mission 10] Finding Freedom

Takeyu gave Konoka a smile as he listened; then he brought the uninjured Neko over to a containment cell. "We have the best medic in the fleet, your friend will be fine," he gave the Neko a reassuring smile - even though 'he' had been the one who blew a hole in her minutes earlier.

He turned toward Konoka, then looked down at his buttpack. He knew he had to get this transponder installed soon, or else the Taisa might come down on him, but then again they had two prisoners right here - one was in containment cell and the other was on the bed. Could be afford to leave to take care of his other duties, or was there an actual risk they could try something. Times like these he wished they had an actual soldier on board.

Speaking to her via telepathy, he said. "Miyazawa-Hei, need me to stay further or may I head off to engineering? I have something the Taisa wanted us to get, and probably should get it connected soon," he looked on with a worrisome expression, he was concerned about his partner... and thought to himself, Have we located the Juni yet? he glanced up at the ceiling.
