Words came to Takamori's mind. Excerpts from one of the many pieces of literature he had studied and memorized. 'Through shadows of death and empty homes, through war and chaos, I walked the path of the blind. I can see it all but still, I walked the path of the blind! Oh ye Lords and Kings, what despair ye bring to thine people, all of ye doomed to follow me on this path of the blind!"
The work itself wasn't anti-war but it was of the more darker setting than usual. Its main focus was on whether a vague, subjective concept such as glory could be present when the end result was always death and destruction. Takamori had used that play to support an essay that glory came from the creation of wondrous objects, grand buildings or great technical breakthroughs.
But none of that philosophizing had a place here now, amidst the dead. Not while there were living souls who needed aid. "Still no targets, Juni. The fighting passed by here a while ago. No big fires around," he said over the radio.
