RP: YSS Eucharis [Mission 4] The Chase

"Authorized. Let them take the shuttle once he's stable for transport." Kurusu replied, guessing that now there were more people to check all the ships, the space port would be locked down until all ships were checked for explosives. If Hanako was there she'd be found too, but still she decided they could make the first sweep until they had more options.

"Kage-Shosa, do we have any updates on the Squadron? Which vessels are they pursuing?"

Nana's indicator made her blink, how had she gone all the way to the other side of the spaceport? "Nana, get back here we're beginning our sweep. Just stay within range of me and offer backup."
 
By this time, Valen had lost consciousness due to the horrible pain throughout his entire body. Images of his family... Reiko... and even Nana for some reason flashed through his mind. His damaged body shivered lightly from within the power armor, even though he wasn't cold.
 
Blueberry and Pineapple flew Fay to a nearby hospital in the Golden Apple, where we was slowly extracted from his armor and treated for his injuries.

Kim and Nana didn't find anything unusual, but they did notice the ship they were investigating had a set of external security cameras, probably to make sure the cops weren't coming or something. Maybe the pilot had a recording of what happened...

Back at the space port, various conflicting investigate teams poured over the site. SAINT concluded Hanako wasn't around and recommended that the cargo ships leave. Since the SAINT commander was higher ranked, that meant Misaki didn't have a say. The light freighters were more than happy to get away from the chaos and back on their routes.

The first of the ships started to take off on the runway. Kim and Nana didn't have much time.
 
"There are no changes, Shosa. They have yet to update me as ordered. I'll prod them to see if there are any changes."

With that, Yaichiro sent a communication to the other ships in the squadron.

"This is the YSS Eucharis, ordering an update on your respective situations. What's happening out there?"
 
"Shosa! First ship is clear! External cameras though. Might get some info off of those." Kim explained hastily as she rushed out of the ship she was in, satisfied that the ship was empty. At least it lacked what they were seeking.

"Eeh? Who the hell gave those ships right to leave!?" Kim shouted over the Power Armour team's comm as she noticed some of them begining to roll down the runway to take off. With a growl, Kim took off with her own armour and flew after the ship furthest down the runway.

"Kurosora Kim, boarding fleeing ship in three... two... One!" With that, Kim activated the teleporting device on her MINDY Armour, sent out a location flash to the HUD of the rest of the team, and ended up inside the ship's cargo hold with shields activated, and weapons locked and loaded.
 
Mistress Taisho Yui-sama,

The team searching the spaceport is having troubles. It seems a member of SAINT is clearing the ships to depart before the Eucharis' suits are able to search them properly, and this person outranks the Mistress Shosa.

Is there a way to resolve this?

Misaki opened a line to the ship Kim had gone to, blipping out of the clear one she and Nana had inspected.

Kurusu Shosa said:
Attention departing vessel. We require your assistance. Please transmit the last 12 hours of video feed from all cameras on your vessel to the YSS Eucharis immediately. This may help us solve the incident at the spaceport, and we won't ask why you have such extensive security measures in the first place...

She imagined if they were smugglers they would take the offer, if they were kidnappers or worse then they would have to recall to the Eucharis. Orders flashed to converge on that ship: Cherry was to provide outside cover until its intentions were clear, Nana and Kurusu would teleport inside if able in case the captain refused to turn over unaltered records for Charisma to run through.
 
  • YSS Starling: Taii Nishiyo Chikae reports SS Superfreak at Halna is clear.
  • YSS Aurora: Taii Akita Yukie reports NSS Freedom Hawk at Yicuqibu is clear.
  • YSS Nadeshiko: Taii Wada Mitsuyo reports SS Cargo Slut has already entered Nepleslia. Permission required to follow.
  • YSS Resupply enroute to Samurai Sector was searched by crew. No extra cargo or stowaways found.
  • Pisces reports SS Prostitute arrived, seems clear; cargo is 100% guns
  • Pisces reports SS Danger Dancer arrived, seems clear; cargo is meat
  • Yui agrees with SAINT's decisions to let the ships go. SAINT has already searched them and talked to the occupants and staying there could be dangerous for them.
  • The departing ship, SS Nomad, replied that it did not keep any recordings of the video system.
 
Yaichiro sent a thank you note to Yui and a confirmation to the other vessels, then sent the information to Misaki.

Mistress Shosa, the SS Nomad did not keep any recordings of the video system. Yui-sama also upholds the SAINT superior's order. All ships which had departed save one have been cleared.

The SS Cargo Slut has already reached Nepleslia, and we cannot pursue it without permission.

"Contact SAINT and see if they can put an immediate tracking team on the SS Nomad." She told Yaichiro, then

She sent a direct priority request to fleet (also Yui, of course) to search the vessel before they get out of the system." Misaki replied to Yaichiro, glad he was on the bridge. "I'll worry about permission if it comes to that, with the Cargo..ahem..Slut."

She was still in range to teleport inside, but held the order to go inside. Kim's armor flashed a standby to withdraw from the vessel. She wasn't going to lose a soldier that way. A recall went to Cherry to return to the Eucharis.

"Do we know how Sasorix-hei has held up?" She added with the line kept open to the bridge, while waiting for the clearance request to go through.
 
Cherry paused in her flight, glancing over to the explosion when it happened. Across the port. She went to head over there when she heard the rest of the report, and sighed. Greatest armors in the known universe and they can't handle a car bomb... People wonder why we didn't do to great in the war... Against the Mishhu, of course. In anycase, she shook her head and went back to scannery.

That was, of course, until she got the message to recall. Which she then did without a moments hesitation, kicking her legs out to use her thrusters to go flying backwards before righting herself via doing a short spin.

Too the Eucharis she went, not saying a word. Always the center stage, aren't you, Hanako... She shook her head a bit, grabbing the side of the armor bay as she came into it to swing herself around inside, sliding to a halt on the floor of the Eucharis.
 
"Not yet. I'm giving a few minutes for them to stabilize him before I call asking for a report...we have to wait and give them a chance to work...but yes, I will contact Yui-sama...shall I inform her of the situation with the Cargo Slut? Perhaps she can pull some diplomatic weight, and I am sure she wishes to know the possible situation with her daughter."

Yaichiro replied to Misaki.

With that, Yaichiro contacted Yui.

Mistress Shosa wishes for a SAINT tracking team to be assigned to the SS Nomad...I must confess that it is odd they'd have recorded nothing over the past 12 hours with their surveillance system.

"No, if we get nothing from the Nomad I'll do the paperwork myself. I don't want her to think she has to do everything where Hanako-Taisa is concerned. The blame falls to me for them slipping away, I will try to manage the particulars with as much independence as she will allow." Misaki replied to Yaichiro, not sure if he understood how disgraceful it had been to her, no matter where she was to have the first major Ketsurui she served to be carted away while they were on the most fortified planet in known space.
 
"Don't shoulder the blame alone, Mistress Shosa...I was WITH her, remember? You were on a different part of the planet."

Yaichiro said, with a sigh.
 
The hospital would eventually report to the YSS Eucharis that the Santo Hei sent to them was now stable. They were able to successfully use a machine to help him breathe until his chest was 're-inflated', as it were. His right arm was also put back into place. They also noted that he would probably feel soreness there as it is used for a few days. Unfortunately, his hips were too badly damaged, so his own body would have to heal that. Overall, Valen Sasorix still needed some time to fully recover, but he would live.
 
Nana remained in fairly close proximity to Misaki, eyes scanning the ground intently. All of this commotion and she was still looking for tech junk? No, not quite.. It'd be easier without the armor, but, Nana wasn't fond of the idea of being fried in another explosion. She'd already been nearly toasted by the Asamoya's engines several times and would prefer not to go through that again. She murmured a nearly silent plea for Valen's well being, and then straightened up, waiting quietly.
 
Eucharis received a message from Pisces Star Fortress:

Hello Taisa Hanako,

This is an automated message from the Pisces Automated Freight System. The two shipments of supplies are now available for pickup. Please retrieve them in the next seven (7) days. Failure to retrieve them could result in them being sent to another facility, as space is limited aboard the station. Thank you for your cooperation.

"Yaichiro Shosa, don't lose us." With that Misaki activated both her and Nana's teleport pods in tandem, blinking into the cargo hold of the Nomad with Kim. Engage stealth. Kim take engineering, we're going to the bridge to try and persuade them. Scans don't show Hanako-Taisa present, so as soon as we can recover the camera feed, or something to get to the bottom of this we'll pop back out. Understood? She sent between their suits as a text-only feed.

When the Eucharis sent her the relay from Pisces, she added an order to the nearest vessel in the 2nd Squadron to investigate under top priority. That would be their next jump after they secured the video feed.
 
"Understood...engage stealth mode if we need to follow that ship. Prepare for swift recall of all Yamatai-bound personnel and launch to track that vessel."

Yaichiro said, having not expected to be in command of a ship again so soon...
 
Nodding at the order, Kim promptly activated her stealth field and moved off towards Engineering, following the handy signs and guides as she tried to avoid bumping into the few crew members that passed her, something of a difficulty given the size of the MINDY.

Kurosora in position. Prepared to storm Engineering section. Orders? Kim sent as a text only message to Misaki while she removed the safety on her weapon and, while still in stealth mode, took aim square at the door separating her from her target destination, just in case.
