RP: YSS Aeon [MIssion 7.3] Ground Site

No malicious embedded code was found in the image file. Once Maki opened it, it showed the same room she was in at the moment. There were several Thaurgon standing talking, the translation algorithm she had kicked in to cover the audio.
"The salvage team has been able to get the necessary components to fabricate a new subspace transmitter, Governor."
"Excellent then we can finally send a distress call and get off this forsaken world. We have lost five percent of the survivors since our arrival. Most of them civilians. There is no reason for us to stay here. This world is unstable, mineral poor. Nothing that the Federation would want and certainly not at the needless loss of lives."
From outside of the image a voice is heard.
"So our illustrious Governor is holding a meeting and I was not informed. Now why would that be?" A moment later the Zeumatozela comes into view.
"Because it is a civilian matter and does not affect you Commander." the Governor replies.
"My sources tell me otherwise, I have heard that you are building a transmitter to signal the home world. That you wish to abandon this colony. Well, I do not agree with that sentiment."
"Fortunately Zeumato, I am in charge here and your opinion is not needed."
"Then I guess there will need to be a change of leadership." Zeumatozela draws a weapon and fires it at the Governor. A brilliant beam of line slices into the Thaurgon and as Zeumatozela shifts it the beam cleaves the Governor in half.
The sound of gunfire follows and the other members of the discussion are slain. Several Thaurgons bearing arms come into view of the camera. "Dispose of these bodies, and find that transmitter. I want it secured. We will need it eventually, but not until we have taken control of this world. Then we will contact home and receive the rightful glory for having achieved our mission despite these weak spined fools."
"What if the technicians resist."
"Kill them, after enough are killed the others will see the folly of resistance."
The image fades.

Maki watched the video, then re watched it again before she responded via the wireless link.
She did not like what she was seeing. Not at all. If this was all true they could be in pretty big trouble. If not the ship at least the few of them that now stood in the alien encampment could be in a dire situation. She had no idea what capabilities and weaponry these aliens had and how it would stack up against their MINDY's

Was it your intention to keep us distracted while they approached?" he said in an agitated tone, he turned to one of his staff and said something that was not audible to Saki, but the individual left the room immediately after.

Maki's ears twitched as her attention was pulled back to the conversation between Zeumatozela and Saki and the mention of the Aeon entering the local air space. What was the ship doing coming here? she wondered.
"I am sure there is a good reason for our ship to be heading here" Makli interjected. "But I can assure you we were not sent here to distract you or deceive you in any way" the SAINT Operative reached out with her MINDY's sensors, looking for any sign of danger. She was on her guard now. "I am contacting our ship to find out what is happening" she said reassuringly, already accessing her communications array to open a line to the Aeon before the alien officer could say anything further.
Maki used an encrypted priority channel and signaled the ship, cutting off her MINDY's external speakers to keep the conversation with the ship private. "Joto-Hei Nagato Maki to YSS Aeon, what is your status? We have the local aliens reporting that you have violated their air space?"

"As my comrade just explained I do not know why our ship is growing close. My colleague will contact them and find out." Saki replied to the Thaurgon. "Also my intentions is not to distract you in any way, I am here to make first contact and set up meeting between you and my captain if possible. Fact that you think it is anything else insults me a bit, but I will overlook it. This is a bit of tense situation after all. As soon as I have more information, I will explain what is going on." Then she went to send a covert message of her own.

Shiina-heisho, be careful. Aliens are getting tense, they detected Aeon approaching, or I assume it is Aeon.
I will try to calm the situation, but you should be ready should everything collapse.

Yoshiro sensed the tension in the room. He wasn't sure but there had to be something that was going on. He wasn't sure what he should do but he wasn't going to mess this up. He sent a coded message to see if he could help out in any way.

Saki looked up at the Zeumatozela and frowned under her helmet. Her stance became a bit more rigid. "Sir, would you like to tell us what you know about missile emplacement firing missiles at our ship? I sure do hope that is just misunderstandement and you and me won't have to have first battle of new war. That would be very messy and very unfortunate." Her voice was cold and solid, trying to put a bit of fear into the commander.
Zeumatozela moved off his chair his skin colors changing as he did. "When you and your people came to our garrison were you not warned about straying off the flight path. It is not out fault that you failed to warn your ship about the hazards of approaching uninvited. Any damage or injury is on your hands. But if it makes you feel better to threaten us in our garrison. You might wish to think things over. You and you immediate team are hopeless outnumbered."

"Maybe you should not underestimate us. Still even if our ship steered out within firing range of garrison, I did warn them about, you also knew about our ship and fired without warning. Our ship has same colours and same style of signatures. You should have knew quite well they were with us and issue them a warning instead of fighting. Unless of course your personnel is not very capable. Still I think it better for us to get over this, and arrange that meeting." Arai said, not very happy about the situation. Then she turned off speaker on her helmet and called Aeon.
"Aeon actual, this is Ground-team actual. Please confirm if your flight path lead you towards the garrison. I need to confirm if this was just a big accident or if these aliens fired on you fully knowing what you represent.I can act according to it. For now I am trying to smooth the situation." Saki messaged, letting Yoshiro and Maki hear this as well.

"Ground team this is Aeon-Actual. We were following the flight path that your shuttle took to approach the Thaurgon Garrison. We were flying with weapons secure, sheilds down and approaching. They started targeting us with radar after we passed their outer emplacements. They waited until we were in range of multiple batteries before they opened fire. They made no attempt to contact us. Take whatever precaution you need to ensure the safety of the team."

"Our main followed the same safe route, we did when got here. They were flying slow and waited for a communication." Saki turned to garrison commander again. She frowned under her helmet. "Your people waited until they were in range of several gun placements and opened fire without warning. Now, we are willing to ignore this, but do note that this is not how you build a good relations with new nation you meet. Are we clear on this?"
Maki's armor detected the channel opening again and received the following.

Saki lingered, she did not like how this was going. Actually she did like it, she was itching for a fight, but not with her team being in risk.
"Ground team to Aeon actual, we are being told to leave the planet in one hour. This commander of theirs in insufferable, I have half a mind to tell him not and say that we saw this planet first." Saki messaged to Aeon. If it was Saki, she would probably mobilise Tasha's and go have a chat with good commander, explaining her why it is really bad idea to shoot at yamataian ships. "Shall I withdraw the team or prepare this place for you ma'am? It is hard to tell what forces they have here, but me and others are inside, speaking with commander. We are all in our armours and could deliver strike to their command. Your orders?"

I have also been informed that Zeumatozela instigated the attack on the Aeon and is planning to eliminate the civilian populace" She explained quickly. "My contact also informed me they are attempting to disable the missiles to allow the Aeon's safe landing. Requesting orders asap" she finished.

"Ma'am. My team is here, we can react and put this creep down." Saki continued, she was furious, staring at Zeumatozela. What a monster, killing civilians. If it was true Saki would want to rip that thing apart. The alien would not be a person to her anymore, just a thing. "We are all in Mindies, which meand we are armed enough for surgical strike. We can capture Zeumatozela and try to take out their defensive grid. We should not tolerate a civilian killers ma'am. It goes against everything we stand for."
