Sune was still trying to register that his diversion had actually worked and given Ramiro time to close the shutter.

"Ramiro, why go all the way to the Shuttle Bay, when we would have to pass the Power Armor bay? If we have any luck the intruder will not have had time to destroy the armor, and from the Power Armor bay we can access the armory from the other side. As for the infantry they too like us will require Power Armor to fight that person. I notified the Taisa that one of the intruders had armor, so if she can raise one of the infantry she will pass that on." Sune replied as he started making his way down the horizontal passage way. Once at the door Sune switched the power pack out on his NSP and took a position by the door to the armor bay

Quickly reaching his cabin after leaving Blackberry to work on the fire in the Wardroom, Mikael entered it and went towards the corner of the cabin he had left his AMES suit at. Still fresh in its packaging, he torn it open and proceeded to put it on. After a few minutes of squeezing himself into the suit, he attached his pistol holster to the suit and sealed his suit with the donning of the helmet. "Much better.....should take chances like that anymore," he thought to himself.

After a few check on the suit's system, he proceeded out of his cabin and back towards the wardroom to help Blackberry if the Nitô Juni needed him. But thinking on how he didn't know how the rest of the ship was doing, he instead looked for the nearest computer terminal. "Charisma, ship status report." Mikael spoke loudly to overcome any problems wearing the helmet would cause.

Of course, the computer was off-line.

Ramiro followed Sune and took up a position to cover Sune and double checked the setting on his NSP. After noting that it was set to its normal pulse mode he pointed it towards the door. "Alright, I'm ready."

An AMES suited Tasuku crawled slowly through a cramped maintenance conduit dragging a small fire extinguisher as the others rushed around the ship, "It's a damn oven in here.." he said as he crawled. Pulling up his communicator he tried to contact anyone he could "This is Yarani, I'm in maintenance conduit 4b, section 3, under the bridge..I think.., it a mess in here and hot as hell.. anyone read me?"

Sparks shot out of a panel a few meters ahead of him, This doesn't look good.. he thought.

After the blast shutter slammed shut, the enemy Nekovalkyrja briefly looted the power armor bay, taking all of the teleporter units, and stuffed them into Eucharis' remaining shuttle, the Golden Apple. After opening the bay doors, she climbed in an shot out into space at high speed with stealth systems activated, and was quickly lost in the chaos of the battlefield. With the computer offline, there was no way for the automated guns to recognize that the shuttle was no longer "friendly."

At the same time, a second enemy Nekovalkyrja--the one that bombed engineering--sailed off in one of the gunship's six escape pods.

Eucharis continued to helpless drift towards the nearby planet with almost all systems offline.

Taisa Hanako answered the communicator. "Tasuku, see if you can divert some power from the pylon anti-matter generators to the main ship, so we can start controlling our engines again before someone shoots them off."

Takeyu took in several deep breaths as he entered the cargobay, his eyes darted from area to area until he found the damage control station. He quickly recovered the portable Aether Generator and connected it up to the ships power supply.

With a sigh of relief he moved over to a still operating terminal and started rerouting damaged systems to more stable areas, all the while he kept his ears open. The bay was somewhat dark and he was feeling rather uncomfortable being alone right now. "Let's just hope no one hits us, I'd hate to be debris right now," he said and started typing away. "There's the control system, I think I can fix the lines there, and there..." he said to himself and got to work fixing the one thing that would allow the Taisa to move this ship.

"So much for the bridge..." Nika groaned as she looked at the mess the room had became; chairs charred beyond recognition, consoles melted, main screen cracked in many places. She checked her suit readings as she shuffled about, noting the heat radiation was high enough to roast a neko, especially at the front.

Shifting herself back to the Captain's Seat, she dusted the thick soot off the console, much to her surprise that it was still intact someway or another.

"Taisa, one of the console here might still work. What we need now is some power..."

Mikael slammed his gloved fist into the wall next to the terminal when he realized the ship computer was off. "Idiot!!!" he yelled to himself. He fumed staring at the wall for a few minutes while he tried to compose himself. The frustration of not being able to take the fight to the enemy like his ID-SOL genes were urging him to do was getting to him.

"Now where were the VIPs staying? This mission would be a complete waste if they are dead..." Mikael thought to himself as he remembered Blackberry's statement. He went back towards the cabins and started to peek in each one to confirm her statement.

Sune access the door control and as the door slowly opened with NSP pointing swept the room with the light from the NSP. There was no sign of movement other than swaying straps from two of the positions on the Racks.

"Looks clear, looks like they liberated two of the Mindy armors." Cautiously Sune entered the room, he walked over to the door that lead to the Shuttle bay. The blast shutter up, and the indicator on the door control panel indicated that there was hard vacuum on the other side.

"Someone has gone out through the shuttle bay, but unless we open the door we will not know if they used the shuttle or the power armor." He said to Ramiro. "Without power we can not decompress the bay, I suggest for the moment we get into Mindy armor." Taisa, it appears that the Mishhu took two of the power armors, the shuttle bay is current at vacuum, unable to tell if its due to damage or if they took a shuttle. Valencia and I are suiting up in power armors as a precaution. he sent to Hanako.

Takeyu let out a sigh of relief, having restored at least some of the computers capabilities, he was now able to actually work on what he was tasked with.

He glanced down at the portable generator and listened to its humming, it was a sound he wanted to hear. "Control systems are a mess," he said to himself as he typed and went through the system. He wasn't certain how many systems he had managed to bring online, mostly due to the current state of the ship but he couldn't repair everything from here. With a heavy sigh he stopped what he was doing and clasped his hands in thought.

His mind raced with various ideas, one such was going into the maintenance shafts and doing the work there, but he hadn't a clue how much of the ship could still be traversed safely and how the structural integrity was.

He picked up a nearby phone and called the Captain. "Taisa, you should have partial control over the ship now, sensors are still trashed but I believe the forward sensors are now operating." He said and looked over his shoulder. "Some of the ships terminals should now be working, but I can't give you any guarantee for how long," he added.

While awaiting a response he returned his attention to the terminal and sent a query to the main computer about the ship's weapon systems to see if he had to do any repairs on those as well.

Ramiro followed Sune, keeping his eyes peeled for funny movement. After he heard Sune's suggestion he said, "That sounds like as good a plan as any," and walked over to one of the Mindy armors. He began to carefully suit up, not having much experience with these.

Hanako growled in frustration. "They probably took the teleporters and left," she replied to Sune. "Stay in armor until further notice."

"Nika, you should have some power now," Hanako told Nika, as Takeyu's mini-fridge-sized generator bought some of the ship's systems back online. While there was enough power for life support, lights, and control systems, the combined field system, hyperspace drive, and the main computer still didn't have enough power to activate.

Meanwhile, Hanako interfaced with the engines and sensors. "Forward sensors down...quantum mirror strips in fair condition..." She slowly (to avoid attention) turned the Eucharis to avoid falling onto the planet. "We may need a tow," she told herself.

It was a miracle! Mikael discovered that the entire group of VIPs had made it out alive! Inside the cabin of Nitô Heisho Takeda Junko, the neko and Elysians had been huddled inside waiting for rescue.

Wes said:
"Nika, you should have some power now,".

As soon as Hanako updated Nika, the console flickered to life, where the neko quickly tapped into the system, hearing the sharp beep from Charisma. "Charisma, Welcome Back!" She chimed, looking at the status of the ship. Most of the systems were still down but the propulsions were still working, which Hanako was controlling at the moment. "How about commuications?" She wondered, going through the status, hoping for a good sign.

"Taisa, the communication is up, but seemed to be unstable. Should we try sending a distress signal?"

Takeyu slammed the side of the wall hard; he hadn't expected that to happen. While the terminal claimed there were sensors, after he had run a quick diagnostic of the system he discovered they actually weren't. "Blast it," he scowled.

"Taisa, I apologize for the misreport on sensors, I'm going to try and locate another portable aether generator to provide more power," he said and put the phone away. He thought about where to go and tapped his lower chin. "My best bet is probably the power armor bay, which should be a floor or two above me, not that far!" he told himself and then covered up the generator next to him with several boxes that he could move, positioning them just right to where it would be hard to spot the generator. After he was done he excited the cargobay and started heading for the power armor bay.

Systematically going to door to door in search of the VIPs to confirm their deaths, he skipped his cabin since he was just in there. "Nope, no one in there." as he peeked in one of the cabins. "Whoa...nice layout." as he peeked into another one of the cabins. He continued on with this for two more cabins before he came upon Nitô Heisho Takeda Junko's cabin.

He peeked briefly into the cabin and back out. But when he thought he saw movement with the corner of his right eye, he decided to go fully into the cabin to be sure. And there he saw the two Elysians and Nitô Heisho Takeda Junko huddled up in there. "Are any of you need medical assistance?" Mikael asked them as he closed the cabin door and flipped open his communicator. He had not heard from anyone else in awhile and was not even sure the device even worked. He did not want to use his suit's radio since it was not properly filled to ensure secure communication.

"Takeyu-hei, Harris-hei here. Have you been able to communicate with anyone else?

Takeyu slowed his pace as he got to a crosspassage. He had been running for only a minute or so before he heard a light beeping sound from his pocket, he placed his hand into it and realized that he had almost completely forgotten about his communicator.

He flipped it open to listen to the message.

"Only the Taisa, haven't run into anyone else since we lost power."

After doing a quick check of the environment, Sune peeled out of his AMES, and selected the Mindy he had worn on the Paradise. He quickly stripped down to his underwear and lowered himself into the armor. Once in place he closed the upper torso and pulled the helmet on.

Sune then performed a quick system check, and getting green lights separated from the storage rack. Okay, this definitely feels more secure. he thought. Switching on the helmet lamps to illuminate the room. He then maneuvered up towards the Armory and held position until Ramiro was suited up. "We should probably check the amory for sabotage or worse." He said to Ramiro.

Once Ramiro had finished suiting up he looked over to Sune. Seeing Sune's helmet lights come on Ramiro figured it was a good idea to do the same. After flipping the lights on Sune and said, "That makes the most sense," and started carefully making his way over to the armory.

The armory, they found, had not been entered. Its heavy blast shutter was closed and locked, as was the room's armored hatch that lay beyond.

"Are any of you needing medical assistance?"
"We're okay," Junko replied. "How's the fire situation?"

- - -

"Takeyu," Hanako replied, "On a Plumeria-class Gunship, you can find a damage control station, with two portable aether generators each, in Engineering, in the Power Armor Bay, in the Cargo Bay (one front, one rear), in the room at the rear of the ship below the shuttle bay (where the maintenance tunnels meet), and on Decks 1 and/or 2, just forward of the Armory. The STV in the cargo bay also has an aether generator."

Seeing the door closed Ramiro went up for a closer inspection. After carefully examining it he came to conclusion that the armory had not been entered. "It looks okay to me, no signs of entry, and its still locked. Since they probably went into the shuttle bay that should be our next location to check out." Once again Ramiro started making his way over to the shuttle bay before he waited for a response.
