Osaka's doodling

OsakanOne here. The better stuff of my journey to artistic enlightenment ends up here. At this point, it's mostly just experimentation...

Worked a bit on the internal frame to get a feel for it.

It's getting more complex. Looks cool though, seeing this thing as it 'Evolves' So to say.

Re: Osaka's art (be sure to check latest page - regular updates)

Tossing ideas around for an intercept-fighter or small gunship design on IRC.

Eventually, I settled on the idea of an attack-shuttle that uses a propulsive system based on that of the Maras. She maneuvers like a house-fly and packs. She can carry two armor and the nose-section has room for a cabin, two bunks and the back end can mount two armors. The area between the engines is reserved for any special cargo and collapsable containers are built in. Alternatively, standardized cargo-containers can be loaded (everything from delivery to special mission pay-loads, bombs, personel, you name it).

Without the payload, it's insanely quick and nippy for it's size. With, it's quite an impressive assault bomber or troop delivery system. With minor modification, it'd be ideal for any bounty-hunters, mercenaries, merchants or anyone who likes to travel.

I might write it up.
Excuse the primitive looking model. It's a draft.

The idea visually was what would happen if an Arwing, Ikaruga, a Hoplite and an F14 Tomcat (<3) had an illegitimate child.

Re: Osaka's art (be sure to check latest page - regular updates)

That is a rather badass looking ship. I know i'd worry if I saw one coming at me in a hostile manner.

Re: Osaka's art (be sure to check latest page - regular updates)

The Arwing is a sweet design in itself, and this looks like a worthy prodigy : ) Kind of an Arwing all grown up, with the larger capacity and role spread.

Re: Osaka's art (be sure to check latest page - regular updates)

Yeah. Someone's already expressed interest in buying one with a few minor modifications for the purpose of bounty-hunting. :D

Re: Osaka's art (be sure to check latest page - regular updates)

Basic deck-plan, deciding where things go. A little cramped. Might adjust the scale.

Enlarged the hanger/cargo area access and added a "life-boat".

Did the pacman test. Tablet's too slippery so my lines are all wiggly.

Taped a sheet of paper over and tried again.

YAY :D

Boobie test, to celebrate my new found ability to draw round things with confidence (just a very quick doodle)...!

Yay

Edit:

Revolver: Almost looks like a butt of someone laying on top of her.
[02] OsakanOne: That's the joke.

Re: Osaka's art (be sure to check latest page - regular updates)

Finally got off my arse and got some anatomy references.

A few logistical issues to sort out but it's coming nicely. I know not much has changed in a while (usually I do detailing work that I later scrap to help me think) but I've finally nailed the final configuration.

Note the muscle-groups along the back. I'll be doing the same across the body to give me an impression of how the outer-plating fill fit together.
