Planet H - Base Encampment - Barracks

Akemi nodded swiftly and spoke in her usual, strictly business tone. "Yes Shosa, I understand. Thank you for looking after me." She bowed slightly to add emphasis to her words. The soldier made sure to be extra polite to Helen since she didn't know if she was as laid back as the others. Even if she was, she still wouldn't feel comfortable acting casual. She had never really spoken to her before beyond exchanging greetings.

Bors watched as Helen took care of Akemi in her ad hoc medical station. He couldn’t help but overhear there conversation and thought to himself that he was pretty lucky walking away with a missing hand and broken rib. At the thought of his hand he glanced down at the bloody bandages where his left hand used to be, well unlike those nekos, this isn't gonna fix itself and capped the jug of whiskey, placing beneath one of the empty bunks, and made his way over to the medical station. "Hope I’m not interrupting anything ma'am" Bors said as he approached Helen and Akemi, "but if you’re taking a look medical issues, i have a hand that needs replacing, as well as a fractured rib."

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

After receiving the news about the base camp high on the mountain Suzume cursed to herself. “I have to fracking climb up there? It is too cold as it is.” Her heating system was out, so she tried to fly, she only got ten feet before it died, “crap on a crapper!!!” She didn’t normally cures so much; just her head hurt so much now that she stared wondering about a concussion. She started limping the last quarter mile to the camp.

Her thoughts were getting more and more foggy, she was forgetting why she was walking in the direction she was going. There was pain in her leg and head, she didn’t know why but they hurt. Her eyesight was blurring quickly. The idea of lying down and sleeping was growing very strong, but there was a small voice that was driving her forward. AS she climbed past the last rock he stumbled into camp and wondered up to the first person she saw, and mumbled “Wine?” before she passed out.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Ramiro was standing near the edge of the encampment when Suzume climbed her way up. As he saw her pass out he shook his head at her. "Damn it, you told me your flight capability was working." He walked over and threw her over his shoulder before walking her over to the the barracks that was set up. Once inside, he removed her from her armor and set her down on one of the beds. "Medic!" He called out, "It seems we have someone over here who doesn't want to stay awake."

As he waited for their temporary medic to show up, he couldn't help thinking, Where the hell is Hakujou!?

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Base Camp

Victory waved goodbye as the shuttle's rear door ramp closed, and then returned to the warmth of the room-temperature cockpit area, which seemed hot by comparison and made her ears burn. She quickly stripped off most of her cold weather clothing and threw it in a pile of jackets and spacesuit in the co-pilot sweat, ending up sitting in her underwear and curling her toes in and out to work some bloodflow into them. As she fired up the engines, she signaled the Eucharis she was returning and then slowly hovered away from the camp using anti-gravity.

Inside the barracks, the temperature was starting to get a little more reasonable where the thermal liner was installed. Outside the air was crisp, freezing, and still and the night sky had become so clear it looked like they were still in space.

Base Camp

Takeyu grumbled partly to himself as he went about setting up the communications center, putting parts together and making certain the wiring was set properly. The tower was up and ready to be used, but he still had to run that wiring back into the center itself.

"Where is Tomomi-hei..." he muttered. "Tomomi-hei, where are ya?" he asked before changing frequencies to address Rieka. "Rieka-hei, I'll be needing you in just a few moments," he said.

Bridge

Sune was monitoring the analysis that Charisma was peforming per his request. The more data they acquired the better chance he had of reducing the search zone to a manageable size.

Monitoring the status on the surface he noted Victory taking off again in the shuttle.

"Eucharis to Victory-Hei, sending you a modification to your flight path. Requesting you follow it and commence sensor scan as you fly over the indicated areas. Jalen-Shosa out."

With Akemi patched up, it left Helen to look to Bors and sigh. "First rule of triage Bors, critical injuries go first, you did not have to wait." Helen spoke, before Suzume was walked in. There was a quiet mumbled curse under Helen's breath before she turned her attention to Konoka. "Konoka, work on Bors, he can't recover like the rest of us and he needs specialist care. I'm capable of treating hypothermia and shock, so I'll stabilize Suzume." Helen then shot her attention over to Ramiro. "Ramiro, get Suzume laid down on a bunk. I'll conduct a medical scan to confirm if it is safe to move her without the armor. If she is stable enough, we'll move her into one of the fresh Mindy units, the interior should provide the proper warmth and life support functions to bring her around."

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

"Aye," came the response from Ramiro. Given his latest orders, he forwent his previous plan to remove Suzume from her armor. He proceeded to lay her down on the bunk, still in armor, before walking over to the opposite side of the barracks. He powered down his armor and got out before laying himself down on a nearby bunk and setting his comm to wake him up roughly an hour before Alpha Team was scheduled to take over the search operations. "Unless there is any work that needs my immediate attention, I'll be over here getting some shuteye," he called out to nobody in particular.

Her assessment complete, Akemi returned to her meal. Before she began eating she sent Takeyu a message using her communicator.
Code:
To: Nayacesen-Shoi
From: Koga-Hei
Subject: Assistance

I have been ordered to rest for an hour, but should you desire any assistance afterwards I will be allowed to help you.
Once finished with her meal she would claim a blanket and a bottom bunk at the left end of the room.

Base Camp

Reika was within the barracks after having finished her portion of the shuttle unloading when she received Takeyu's message, causing the Neko to responded in kind via her communicator.

"Yes, sir... where are you and what is it that you need?" Reika asked softly. At that moment the Neko was not aware of where Takeyu was located. The last she saw him he'd been walking past whilst she was helping to unload all the equipment Victory had delivered.

Base Camp

Tomomi quickly changed out of her armor and into a cold weather outfit in a somewhat warm location. Deciding to deal with her armor later, she hurried to find Takeyu. "I apologize sir. You mentioned setting up comms?" Tomomi said once she found him, bowing to the required deepness.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Camp

"That I did, I need you to set up the equipment inside of the commad center while I finish with the tower," said Takeyu as he secured the comm. array.

Then he opened a comm. line with both Tomomi and Rieka to listen into. "Once the communications building and all of the equipment is set up, the Shosa wants you two to start trying to trying to figure out where the other Hanako could be, where she is sheltered and her general location. It's possible we may already have some of that information, so check with the Shosa first before starting," stated that chief engineer as he looked at the weather.

With a slight shake of his head, he sent the location of where they were to Rieka, given he noticed she wasn't here and probably got lost.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

"I'll remember that next time i lose a hand Ma'am" Bors said to Helen and returned to his spot across from Konoka. After he sat down he removed his ballistic vest and field jacket top so he was wearing his black sleeveless shirt exposing his muscular and tattoo covered arms. Bors couldent help but notice the amount of blood that soaked his left sleeve bleedin a bit more than last time, bastards got me good he thought before folding the jacket and placing it on top of his ballistic vest next to him on the bed. "So doc, guess its back to square one eh?" Bors said taking his E-cig from his jacket and popping it in his mouth, "Anything i can do to help speed this process along?"

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Base Camp

Konoka eyed Bors' arms, and the blood that had spotted them. Blood! she thought, a lightbulb going off in her head. She got out some healing blood and put it in a dish. " Just put your hand...or, umm, what's left of it....in this, Riko-Hei," Konoka suggested. "The longer you leave it in there, the better it will heal, OK?" She smiled at him, pointing at the whiskey jug. "And thank you for the offer, but that stuff doesn't really work, you know." Nice of him, though, Konoka thought. Maybe at the end of this, he will be my new friend. That thought made her smile.

"Just rest and keep your hand in this healing blood and you'll be OK," Konoka assured him. Well.... that and I don't have a Nepleslian cybernetic hands lying around. My Nepleslian friends are so complicated....they always get hurt the most, and I have the least amount of supplies that work on them!

Nevertheless, Konoka thought, Doing what I can to help is my life. I wouldn't have it any other way.

"Just don't kersplode any other appendages, 'kay?" Konoka smiled weakly, hoping Bors would have plenty of time to recover.

Eucharis Bridge

Hanako was laying on her back with her head under one of the bridge control panels, with a toolkit by her side. She tossed a burnt cable onto the singed carpet and grabbed a fresh one to replace it with. With the repair complete, she crawled out and secured the access panel holding it into place.

"Blackberry," the Shosho said.

"Yes, captain?" the violet-skinned sprite replied.

"Since Zone 4 is the largest search area, bring the Eucharis into a geosynchronous orbit above it and begin conducting scans. Hopefully we can save the armor teams the trouble of searching it," Hanako directed.

"Ryokai. Moving to scanning position."

Hanako sent the Helen a message that it would not be necessary to search Zone 4 since the ship would be looking there.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Bridge

Upon hearing Hanako's orders, Sune prepared the sensors. He still had Charisma doing a data analysis of the sensor data acquired by the shuttles. Hopefully something would show up between these.

"Sensors configured for planetary scan, Ma'am. Will commence once we are in position."

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Some mumbling could be heard coming from Ramiro's direction as he tossed and turned on his bunk. It wasn't going to be very good sleep for him, but it was sleep none the less. After a few minutes he calmed back down and a light snore took over.

Re: [Mission 15.1] Gifted

Bors shrugged at Konoka's comment and took another swig of whisky before replacing it under his bunk. "Not planning on getting....kersploded... anytime soon doc" He said while examining the dish of healing blood. Never used this stuff before, but might as well give it a shot Bors placed the dish next to him on his bunk and put his hand in it as he laid down, trying his best not to spill any, and closed his eyes Doc said get some rest so I’m just following orders he thought before drifting off to sleep.

Planet H - Base Encampment - Communications Center

Once exactly one hour had passed since Helen had treated her, Akemi rose from her bed and donned a cold weather outfit to supplement her AMES. Then she started carrying damaged power armor away to the communications center that was being set up. Afterwards she searched for and found the necessary equipment to repair the suits and began to first fix Helen's Kylie. She didn't want to disturb anyone while they worked on the building and its systems, but she thought it was better to risk that than to potentially hinder the sleep of her squad mates.
