The Havok Festival YE 40

VIP Area

Seinosuke warmly grasped Ana's hand, grinning, "We've been fine since we got back on the Kaiyo, before then it was a little hairy." He squeezed the little Arbs' side against him. The unfortunate Iemochi was shocked as the various security personnel descended, the rosy colour quickly draining from his features. He'd wished something like this wouldn't happen - damn it all. Out of all the places and times.

About to speak, he was drawn back by Hoshi, even as his mouth was about to form the words of acceptance to the men's demands. He telepathically thanked Hoshi for her support, then listened intently to the explanation. "Of course it was them. Please, this is nothing I want anyone to fight about. It's always been this way, I didn't expect the company to go this far." Mochi spoke, a resigned tone taking his voice as he did. The fact he wasn't already bleeding out on the floor meant that they weren't hired by his father, there was hope for him yet.

"I guess that was the reason they stole my weapon designs, to fabricate that I've been illegally developing their weapons." The blonde guessed, gently tugging a little in Hoshi's firm embrace. "Empress knows what else they're saying, all I know is that if I get sent to them, it won't end well." He cast his gaze across the room to the alarmed faces staring back at him. His comrades, friends, likely members of rival businesses that would love to cash in, more nefarious agents even?

"Commander Pine, I can answer some questions but I'm not going into any locked room or cell. Anywhere else is fine as long as I have someone with me." The emerald-eyed Neo-Caelisolian turned to look to his captain, "I'd be much more comfortable with that and I'm sure we all would too if you'll allow it, Hoshi-chusa?" This was bad, the more attention that was drawn, the more danger he'd be in. He couldn't let his expecting wife get caught up in what he'd failed to resolve, he certainly couldn't let his crewmates clash with anyone on his behalf. "I'm not going to come quietly if you want to detain me but if you want, I can explain myself."

The last thing he wanted to was to drag his friends into danger for his sake. "It's alright, what happens happens. If I get taken, please care for Arbs until I return. I have no idea why we didn't hear about these charges on the Kaiyo, I'm sorry.." Mochi telepathically spoke to Hoshi, a dejected look upon his face. His demons had come knocking, even so soon after the attempt on his life on Elysia Novus.

Hoshi replied curtly to the Elysian man, “Your orders from me have not changed.”

In Iemochi’s head only, she said, “I would have known about any official charges immediately. They don’t have any PANTHEON authorized reason to question you and should not do so without that official authorization. You have seen too much. And,” she added, “I care for you, we all do. They shouldn’t be doing this.”

"Damn it!" Gravity whined and glared at Kyoi's shuttle. "You win this time, fox-girl!"

"Down for some danger?" she asked Sacre. Without waiting for a response, she pulled back on the stick, performing a loop to get them headed back to the city, then rolled to level out.

"Damn it!" Jax whined and set down his drink, flushing the booze from his system. Then, he pulled out his communicator and hit a button. He stomped over to the commotion, ears pinned flat against his head and tail lashing in fury. "Pine! Stop trying to ruin my festival! You can't just snatch up active duty Star Army personnel!"

Jax, a Star Army veteran himself, then turned to Mochi.

"Soldier, do not go with this man, and do not answer any of his questions! If they got an issue, they can take it up with command!"

NYOOOOOOOoooooom!

At that moment, a racing shuttle slammed down into the VIP section, its side door opening and engine sill running.

<Mochi! In! Now!> Gravity nearly shouted telepathically to the Elysian.

<Hey, nice landing, flygirl! I have a ship in orbit you can drop him at. Pilot will take him anywhere he and his wife want to go.> Jax told Gravity.

<Thanks, kitty!>

Jax then moved over to Arbitrated.

"Ma'am, I'm really sorry about all of this. Your husband is being extracted by your captain. I can personally take you to a ship in orbit that will take the two of you back to Yamtaian space." he explained calmly, taking into consideration that Arbs was pregnant and needed to be handled with care.

Kyoi sighed a little. It was fun racing, but now a job was to be done. "I've been called as well." she told her racing partners.

"Star Army Intelligence agent Kyoi Kiseki, en route to designated location," she stated, to Hoshi. "Objective is to prevent the Section 6 operatives from capturing Yamataian assets and citizens. Requesting SAINT records on target Seinosuke Iemochi and designated enemy Section 6. Inquiry: Is this unit cleared to use force?"

The little shuttle swung back around towards the stands, now jetting out at full speed. She was no longer on a break; she was on duty.

Desert

Wyatt's bike slammed into the ground once more as the final sand dune before the main area of the event came into sight, he could see somebody in a shuttle had had a similar idea to him - he continued up the sand dune and launched his bike up into the air, getting into a standing position on the bike and pushing off with his legs as eden's feed from the room kept playing in his ears.

Above the Mech Fight

A dirt bike fell down to the ground near one of the mechs and crumpled as a small figure could be seen soaring above, flying in a straight line towards where the shuttle was.

Outside the VIP Area

Wyatt continued to jet forward as fast as he could toward one of the thick and no doubt reinforced windows of the VIP area, if the manual that came with his suit was correct the all he would need to do was pull the tether on his suit to deploy it. He looked back to the feed Eden had showed to him ensure he wouldn't hit anybody before giving the tether a quick and brutal pull mere meters from the window.

VIP Area

There was a loud smashing sound and a pop as Wyatt burst through the window and depleted his suit's shield, the razor sharp fragments cut into the suit and caused it to deflate - the minkan kept his limbs tight as he hit the floor, rolling until he popped back into a standing position to the side of the aggressors of the ordeal. He could feel the bruises that would show up but for now the minkan simply shrugged off the glass shards that clung to his body and reached each arm into his jacket. The mechanised gun-gauntlets automatically tightened around his wrists before his arms were brought back into sight, now with a SiZi M38 special duty revolver strapped to each forearm.

"Now you're going to show us that PANTHEON authorization or let our people go, and according to the Chusa you don't have that authorization" Wyatt spoke almost calmly as he had his two odd wrist-mounted hand cannons pointed at the S6 personnel, he had chosen an angle that meant any missed shots wouldn't hit his own people - he had no intention of missing but he would only fire if they gave him a reason to, or he was ordered to.

Whichever came first.

Mark(S6)
Mark actually felt hurt at the looks he got, his old crew looking at him like he was some creepy stranger. He hit the sand at full speed, thrust at max as the fusion engine purred loudly. He would reach the VIP area shortly, hopefully then he could help clear things up, "I can talk with Jack, try to figure out what is going."

Mark(kaiyo II)
Mark grunted as he landed hard, but he got back up again. "I've been fighting most of my life. This is a test of that experience. I will not admit defeat so easily, so let's give them a show warden.", he said from his speaker as he took a ready stance.
Mark received the messages from hoshi, "let's make this quick, there is a security situation in the VIP area."

Jack
"If that is true then IIS, is doing illegal activity. For which case can't go unanswered. Then let me suggest this. The security goes away, I send a false report to IIS that you were captured, but killed during arrest. And we sit down and talk, worth you, me, the captain here, and my co-commander. No guns, no security, just us at a table. Let us solve this situation together, because I do not like being lied to by groups claiming to be allies.", Jack said patting one of the security men.

Getting the signal, they backed off, and melded back into the foreground. Response teams were kept on standby.
"Kyro, kinda trying to deal with a situation here. Now is not the best time."

"Danger? Who's in danger?" Sacre asked, still unsure about what exactly was happening as the ship made a loop. She squeezed into the rear of the racing shuttle. As the door flew open, Sacre leaned slightly awkwardly between the seats. She had two of her throwing knives in her hands, ready to enforce Mochi's freedom. Then she saw him, the two of them made eye contact, Jack Pine. The one who her alpha fork, Ven, had attacked several months ago. Of all the bloody times for him to show up, it had to be now.

To Sacre, the pink-skinned woman said, "Nobody is in any danger. Not now."

Hoshi nodded to the Iemochi, "We'll leave on that shuttle," as the other protective Nekovalkyrja continued to cocoon and protect the pair of Iemochi while they shuffled towards the Grav's ride.

She side-eyed the Nekojin and then said, "Jax, we're taking this show on the road!"

"We'll find our own way to the door," the little Captain said to Jack Pine as she looked at his eyes. "I hope you understand."

Anyone with mindware or telepathy from the Kaiyō's current crew would be told to proceed to the escorting shuttles piloted by the two Star Army of Yamatai members and nobody else. Kyōi received instructions to gather up the crew that was not in the VIP section while Gravity was to get those in the section with Hoshi. The short-statured Nekovalkyrja gave Wyatt a re-assuring pat.

"You're the last one in that shuttle, Wyatt, don't turn your back on those you face until everyone is safely inside."

Kyoi simply sent a telepathic message to Eden, telling her to return to shuttle. She then began pursuing down crew of the YSS Kaiyo, picking them up in the shuttle she was piloting.

"Data filed. Records kept for Star Army Intelligence - Command Division." Kyoi mentally logged. "Disengaging duty."

She slumped in her chair for a bit, giving a long sigh as her ears pressed down. Then, she got back up.

"Right, we have a job."

"Hey Chloey, this is all going to be okay," Hoshi said while she put Chlorate between herself and the shuttle and added to Kyōi, "You are not authorized to use force unless given an order to do so by a superior officer. Just get our people back. SAINT information on Section 6 and our people will have to be looked at later. Right now the main designated objective is as you stated, to 'prevent the Section 6 operatives from capturing Yamataian assets and citizens. Get them to safety.'"

Sein scooted back with his spontaneous guard, knowing it was best to trust his superior in this circumstance. He went to move towards Jax but was huddled into by the other Nekos, keeping him in a tightly protected ring of superhuman catgirls. Mochi rubbed Arb's hand reassuringly with his thumb, letting Hoshi do the talking as she had the experience. As much as he wanted to get everyone he loved out of harm's way and go for questioning, it seems he was destined to keep shuffling backwards amidst their bodyguards. He hoped everyone would stay even if Arbs and he were going into orbit, his own issue wouldn't do to bring down their trip. Reaching the door to the shuttle, Mochi began to be bundled inside by a quick butt shove by one of the Nekos. "I'm so sorry about this everyone. I didn't think.." The Juni telepathically broadcast, slipping inside the craft.

Chlorate (Kaiyo II)
The kimono-wearing computer girl held Hoshi's hand with an inorganic cold grip, and asked "Affirmative... But why is there another Chlorate here?"

Chlorate (S6)
Chlorate stared as they all filled the shuttle. "Where is father?" she asked, looking around and approaching Jack.

Kikios (Kaiyo II)
The cockatoo proceeded to the congregation of people entering the shuttle and turned around so her back was towards them. She spread out her white parrot wings and used them to cover part of the group.

"It's a short story," Hoshi said, "so it won't be too hard to explain, but we'll have to do it later. Thank you, Kikios, for your attentive support!"

Hoshi began searching the airspace data and making queries inside of her digital mind, as well as sending messages to the appropriate agencies.

Jax ran a hand down his face and sighed. Silver linings! Silver linings! At least this was a small, contained incident!

<Hey, Hosh! Sorry about all this! I got this hella sick after party up on the space station in my penthouse later. Most of today's performers and racers are gonna be there. I want to make this up to you and your crew.> the nekojin sent telepathically.

Gravity waited patiently for everyone to get aboard before shutting the doors and racing into the sky.

The Challenge Area

Alex analyzed Mark's defense as they circled each other, deciding to put on a show for the crowd as he began to speak, also over the loudspeaker.

"We'll see what that amounts to soon enough!" Alex was really hamming it up, and everyone could tell that he wasn't serious. But the crowd didn't seem to care much, letting out a cheer as the two combatants continued to circle.

Suddenly, Alex sprung. Before his opponent had a chance to respond, he was in front of Mark, a leg raised to the side in a wide kick. Suddenly, he launched himself up and over, doing a flip and landing on one foot and sweeping the other one high.

Mark blinked and he was there in front of him, a leg swiftly swinging towards him. Adrenaline flooded his system and instinct kicked in. He dropped just barely below the kick in time, the leg swinging past his main camera by a mere inch. After the leg cleared he hit the rear burners and came back up with an uppercut.

Alex was sent a few meters into the air, and several more than that backwards. He managed to land in a crouch, one knee down as he came to a halt. He raised back up to a ready postion and began to circle again, waiting for Mark to attack this time.

Mark sprung forward and hit his thrust again, this time to send him into the air. He vertically spun his body sweeping downward with a leg, applying as much force and momentum as possible. Alex was easily able to bring his arms up to block it in time, but that didn't stop him from being pushed a little more by the force.

Mark boosted in reverse to return to his previous position. Stance at the ready once more. His heart was beating now, what a rush.

The two of them seemed to be losing the crowd, and people were starting to wander, and so Alex decided to take it up a notch. He flashed forwards, towards Mark in the blink of an eye, and swept his opponent's mecha's legs away with a loud clanging noise. Mark hung in the air for a moment as the crowd turned around to see what was going on. Then Alex followed up with a punch just below the cockpit, the force of which sent Mark's mecha upward and tilting back.

It landed on it's back with a crash, and dust obscured the contest field. The crowd was silent.

Wyatt did as he was told and waited for everybody to board the ship before he floated himself in after them, making sure to blink each eye at a separate time to make sure he didn't give the s6 personnel any space to take advantage of. The Minkan only lowered his shiny new toys once the door fully shut and they began taking off, he blinked a few times as he lowered the scarf and raised the goggles before he paused suddenly - having stopped thinking about what the people were doing and focusing on who they, or rather who he thought one of them was.

"Somebody correct me if I am wrong... was that white haired man another Mark?" He asked nobody in particular as he began wondering just how many of the one guy were floating around. A shudder ran up his spine as the Minkan purged a thought from his mind, Wyatt was nothing special and he couldn't think of any reasons there might be to clone him. He replaced that thought with a sense of relief as they flew, knowing that whatever was about to happen had been stopped... for now at least.

Mark(S6)
Mark's DR1 came screeching around the street corner, and drifted hard into a slide. As the bike finally stopped, He vaulted off the bike before running up and smacked Jack over the back of the head.

"OW!"

"Baka! Baka! Baka!, what is wrong with you?! We have a situation and you don't call me?! This is why I'm leaving you idiot, and now I've been made to look like a dumbass in front of my old crew.", Mark said furiously shaking Jack by his leather jacket, as the kaiyo crew finished loading up on shuttle.

[I am terribly sorry Hoshi, I could have made this Baka back off if he had bothered to call me. Please send the crew my sincerest apologies. -<3 Mark]

Mark(kaiyo II)
Mark was dazed as he hit the ground. He felt a sharp pain in the support spine, and could not feel the unit's legs. Motor control was almost non existent. He had lost. Disconnecting, he popped open the cockpit to climb on top of the totaled unit.

"Thank you for the opportunity warden. This has been an enjoyable battle. I hope we can meet again, and have a rematch. But now I must go.", Mark said with a now before sending a signal to the shuttle.

Nora
The woman sighed as things progressed, "I'll call IIS, no doubt you'll want an audience with them.", Nora said pulling out phone and dialing in a comm line. She hoped Frank was having a far better day.

The past minute around Anastasia was a bit of a wild blur. She has tightened her grip around Orion's arm as the mood went from a nice and friendly reunion to a standoff faster than anything on show at the festival. Everything had gone in a circle, and now the crowd was starting to tersely dissipate. It just sorta happened, she didn't even catch the full story. The Elysian did, however, notice that she had fallen tensed into position along with the others in the group of former crewmates, as if it were muscle memory that had yet to fade.

She stepped back from the group and let Iemochi pass, listening as the buzz of telepathy droned about the air. All she could find to say in her confused state was a simple telepathic "sorry?". As the rest of the crew started peeling away from the scene, she turned back to Orion. "I- uh, I'll find a way to catch up, promise? I need to go talk to Jackson real quick." She broke away from Orion with a smooch, heading across the section to trail Jax.

"Nothing kills a party like a case of bounty hunting... that's for sure." Anastasia spoke lowly as she stopped at Jacksons side, still visibly working off a case of familiar instincts to follow the parting group. "Do you know whats going on now?"

Jax inhaled deeply, taking a moment to collect his thoughts then said with his trademark grin:

"The party continues! I'm gonna go get something to eat, then we're all meeting back at my penthouse! Most of today's performers and racers will be there as well."

Jax continued walking, headed for the nearest Akemi's.

Yamataiyan Shuttlecraft

Arbles hopped briefly, as if startled, her grip on Seinosuke's hand tightening to the point of turning her little fingers white. Looking up with her waves of hair being pushed a bit behind her, she frowned; tears played at the ex-Shan's eyes as the recent events - many of which WERE taking place out of her sight - started to get put together in her mind. Wordlessly, just wordlessly, she turned a bit on the spot and hugged the raven-man around the waist tightly. There was nothing she could say, now... Nothing at all. She nearly lost her husband a THIRD FUCKING TIME in the past few months, and that much stress can give a person dentrimental effects if not handled well.

Alex's Mecha, post-fight

A low buzz filled the air, a slender figure surrounded by a blue aura darting from a rooftop through the air to land on the "shoulder" of the victorious U-1. As she sat down with a bit of a plop, buzzing flight-limbs slowing down to a standstill, Araxie Serai raise her hands into the air with a smile and cheered out, "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOO! GO ALEX!" She was pretty excited to watch this fight - her boyfriend's affection of mecha had rubbed off onto her quite a bit - and had chosen a rooftop spot because of how easy it was for her to get around - and still watch the glorious battle.
