here is an image i found online. Ignoreing the text what does everyone think about the kind of concept shown. It appears to be a more realistic power armor. Reminds me of something you would see in a command and conquer game or the mecha from the "Second renisance" episode in the AniMatrix. https://stararmy.com/starchan/starships/src/1176269331611.jpg
Well, I joined the ranks, so to speak. I'm not really a role player much anymore (although I do have a "total immersion" scenario for my sci-fi series Starship Moonhawk™ which I beta tested with mild success 3 years ago on our forum). But! I *DO* do all manner of sci-fi (and sometimes fantasy/horror) artwork for VERY reasonable prices. Just ask my oft partner-in-crime Kim. She'll tell ya! Sample: http://maciapaladin.deviantart.com/art/Sarai-Eros-Commission-4-Realz-76835361 Anyway... my rates are posted in my journal, and progress updates will be posted regularly. (in fact, it'll be the primary topic in my journals for a while... I need money...) Oh well. Not the BEST intro thread, but at least I'm not beating around the bush. :) ~Mace
This is where my 2D art will be found, and maybe my 3D art as well. I'll start things off with a picture of Toshiro's older brother, Yuki Kenichi. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y30/MM007/yukikenichi.png Yuki Kenichi TOWERS over other Geshrin at a height of over six feet, three inches, and is even taller than his younger brother, Toshiro, who is six feet tall. Though built like a brick wall, Kenichi is a very likable and easygoing guy off duty, but knows when to toughen up and do his job. He is very respectful to his superiors, and is a Ronin Elite Pilot, though a bit of customization was needed to accomodate his height. Yuki Kenichi went MIA during the destruction of Ralfaris in YE 26, and is presumed dead. (I don't...
I've been itching for more practice sketching, so I tried picking out random articles in the 'Approved Additions to SARP' forum. Unfortunately the majority of them lack detailed visual descriptions or aren't very interesting to draw. So, if anyone has any characters, ships, armor, or anything remotely interesting to draw, let me know along with a detailed description, or not-so-detailed if you want me to wing it. But the whole point of this thread is for art practice and highly detailed descriptions make commissions harder, so detail is a big plus. No promises on if I actually get around to drawing stuff or not, but hey, they're free commissions. Don't complain, you cheap wankers! XD Oh, and those of you that are wondering what...
When I get bored, I mess around with DoGA, and make various things. While I normally focus on starships and the like, I have recently began venturing into the realm of personal vehicles. I do take requests, and enjoy making stuff for other people, so don't be shy, but, if you have talents of your own, don't be surprised if I ask for something in return. Here's some of my more recent work:
Hey guys. I'm making myself available to do commissions. I am in an unexpected financial crisis and need to try and keep my head above water. I am up for doing about any art you guys may want. Here is some sample art for you guys to get a feel for what I can do; As for pricing, Character line art (Pencil or digital)* Busts: $5 Full figure: $10 Character Full color digital * Busts: $10 Full figure: $15 * add $5 each for additional character in the image. Alrighty guys; it's been a while since I've managed to bring myself to complete the wiki articles relating to the 3D models and other artwork I've made. It seems I have a tendency to enjoy the process of making the artwork related to a particular project, but when it comes to writing up the needed wiki info afterward I kinda lose motivation and let things drag on far, far too long, then let myself get distracted by something else. As such I'm going to try something a little different. :D From now on I'm mostly going to concentrate on making just an artwork contribution to the setting -- which is the bit I apparently enjoy the most. Whether or not anything gets done with that art is going to be mostly up to you guys now :p. I'm...
((Since it was an unanswered question in the last thread, I made this poll to answer it[basically].)) I figured I could just go ahead and make a few badges and banners for the Star Army of Yamatai. This is so that Yamatai WH40k players(if there are any) can enjoy a unique symbolism that only Yamataian players can enjoy(basically.) This is the result of my work, I used the ship patches for the badges, however, since the Yagumo has no ship patch, I used the humming bird. As you can see, I also provided 3 different sorts of banners, one is a clear, one flag design. I'll demonstrate how they all look in the ingame, I used the Eldar, since mainly, most people take Yamatai as Eldar. Personally I think Yamataians could probably...
Why this thread? At this point there is no real standard for Elysian ships in terms of looks. We have a little idea for them, but there is no "official" idea how the ships are supposed to look. For instance, are they blocky? or are they completely organic? Or a mix between organic and tech? Well, here are my arts. As some of you know, I'm normally a pencil artist, but lately I've been trying to do more on Photoshop mainly so I can do color too. But it's been hit-and-miss for me. Anyway, I need some opinionated help with my attempts at drawing Nelew, my IPG character. The first one is my first full attempt at drawing Nel at anything even close to realism. I kinda like it, but she's supposed to look androgynous, which I think I missed. But the eyes and hair color are spot on. The skin is supposed to be chalk-white, but unfortunately shading that color creates a zombie-like pallor. The second one is just an experiment, but there's a chance that the big-eyed blank look somehow fits her character...but it also makes her...
Officer. https://stararmy.com/starchan/character_art/src/1159292179767.jpg Enlisted. ( Officer minus tie, coat and double belt ) https://stararmy.com/starchan/character_art/src/1159292261225.jpg I originally intended this for the SAoN, but before I submit these to the "New Additions" board, I would like to see come comments first. Do speak away, I wount prosecute you ;p.
Hi everyone. After putting some thought into it, I have decided to offer art comissions of ground vehicle. These can be of existing SARP vehicles, art of vehicle ideas that are to be submitted for approval, and maybe real life vehicles. Out of the goodness of my heart, I am offering my services for free. Please note, though, that they may not be finished right away because I have college Monday to Thursday, and they also may not be the best quality as I don't have tools to be able to draw digitally, so they'll be done on paper. I look forward to seeing what vehicles you would like me to draw. >3<

Opening a thread like this so that I can offer the stuff I've been up to without stringently classifying it under a specific topic. * * * For starters, some of you might remember the series of confusing scribbles I did awhile ago. Well, I kind of worked on that since. http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll27 ... a_03_a.jpg http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll27 ... a_03_b.jpg http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll27 ... a_03_c.jpg http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll27 ... a_03_d.jpg Disclaimer: definitely still a work in progress. Proportions, angles, curves are all subject to change. I'm more in the shape-creation stage.
Hello there! I'm an illustrator, animator and am happy to be offering my services to all you fine people here at Star Army. I was introduced via r/ICanDrawThat on Reddit where I drew Aala Dash and Meissa Nashira (original posts here and here). I am offering individual character portraits, group/crew deals, mecha, vehicles, bots, spacecraft, props, environments, and full scenes. NSFW A-Ok! I would describe my style as anime/manga influenced mixed with European clean-line aesthetic (Heavy Metal, Mobeius, Hergé). I put together a sample and pricing guide here. You can view more samples of my work on my portfolio. Full-body character portraits start at $30 for B&W line art (which you can color yourself), $40 for flat color, $60 for...
Been thinking about the old user Born-on-Board lately. Anybody else here into painting, modelling or kitbashing stuff? Also using this thread to look for alternatives to 40k. Know any good 'use anything' sci-fi tabletop wargames? Feel free to post your own stuff here! In the words of a giant floating head, "Show me what you gottt!" -PP Stuff- Just getting into Maschinen Kreiger. The sculpts are awesome even on the cheapo gatchapon figures (pictured vs MKIII Space Marine for scale). Half the price of terminators and twice the size! Attempted the Gundam Skirmish game for a while, but the community just isn't really there yet. Bandai makes *super* nice and highly posable stuff, though. The 1/144 stuff is light years ahead of the...
It's me, ya boi, Polyman!~ And we here for a new art thread that's hot hot hot! Remember when people made these? I liked it when people made these. Just updated my tumblr for the first time in a gazzillion years, mostly just getting all the semi-recent SARP stuff in the same place. But here is the more new stuff, anyhow; Elk 44 (Actually an Ayenee character, but yeah); Promise Greenview (188604); Olffa (NSV Furi'Ken); And just to prove that I'm not just making SARP characters 24/7, here is a 3D shmup game demo I was working on during the last year of uni; Blep. So there ya have it. Guess I kinda just posted this to reset my brain and decide what to work on next. Whilst I finish eating this scotch egg. Hope you like it.
COMMISSIONING INFO The service I offer: I am currently offering to make character artwork or 3d modeling/texturing commissions. Character artwork can either depict your character in a bust/chest area or upward, a whole body shot, a model sheet or a scene. These will usually be print resolution (about 8.5x11in at 150 dpi). My artstyle is currently heavily anime inspired, but I also took figurative drawing classes so I can go for more realistic. I use a cell-shaded coloring style with softer edges. In the instance of a 3d model (preferably an object, not a living being) I can build up a mesh and texture it to flesh out whatever you wish to have me flesh out with my polygonal-shaping skills (along with diffuse/bump and...
So, who's interested in Star Army patches? I recently acquired a contaact that can make custom patches at about three bucks a piece, provided we place a minimum order of 50. It would be great for cosplay, putting on jackets/bags, or BDUs for us airsoft players. I figure the design would be a 3" diameter "hinomaru"/Mindy logo.
••Updates!•• I think it is about time to get my own thread up, and not use DocTomoe's old thread anymore. Besides that, there is a bit of drama in there that I don't need re-posting. SO! This will be my official thread to order from me, to also look over my prices, sample art, and DA, though a lot of you don't need it. This is just helpful to those that are new at commissioning me. And yes... I'm making this look super effing nice. Enjoy~ ••Commission Status: CLOSED•• ••Terms and Rules!•• •• WHAT I DO •• I will do couples. (yaoi and yuri) I can TRY to do backgrounds. I do men, women, and girly boys/bishounen. I draw ANTHROMORPHIC characters. I WILL draw tasteful nudity! Ecchi and erotic is also fine. I can draw MOST...
Hello, SARP, I've decided to put up an official commission thread for my works on the forums. For no reason at all, really. There are quite a few pieces of artwork that I've done and are all around the wiki, but they're so many that I've lost count on all of them by now, so I'll just be linking some of the commissions I've done. For this thread, I'll be dividing my works in three categories: Linearts (Starting at $5 per character): Some of my commissioned work in this category for SARP: link link link link Colored and shaded linearts (Starting at $10 per character): Some of my commissioned work in this category for SARP: link link link link Digital paintings and illustrations (Starting at $30 per character, armor, vehicle): Some of...
I've been singing since I was like, 8. So I sing a lot. So much. It's absurd how much I sing, pisses muttface mcderp off so much. So very much. So I decided to do a weird project, now that I have my condenser mic up and operational. Thought? What if I sang a song, and I backed myself up 9 times? So, I recorded myself singing Fields of Gold by Sting, 10 times, picked my favourite, made that track a stereo track, screwed around with the pan of the other tracks to make it as if the "Backups" are all around me. These vocals are RAW. I did nothing to them other than a noise reduction to get a bit of the buzz I get from the two computers I sit next too, as well as pop and click reduction on the main track so that you guys don't hear that...
So I've found that by using some free online tools we can create and animate character faces: Artbreeder.com allows us to make realistic faces for free MyHeritage, a family tree site, has a tool that animates faces from photos using some AI-based deepfake style process and it works on Artbreeder faces (signup is required unfortunately) Placeit.net allows us to take the animated face videos and convert them to gifs as well as crop them and resize (also requires an account) When you combine these three things, you get character face animations like these: Update: Looks like you can only make 5 animations on the family tree site before it starts hitting you up for money.
